Plea For Help @ NL2

ARRRGH I can't seem to be winning this like everyone else here. It doesn't seem so easy for me. Whenever I get good cards, they fold, and I make like $0.50 then I don't get any other good cards for another 20-30 hands. WTF do I do?!
Anyone wanna mentor me? T_T
10FPP To Use
SugoGosu, Oct 14 2007
So I entered my first 10FPP Tournament and did very well for my first time. I entered it with an intent to at least last half way, since everyone is obviously skilled (compared to me).
So I enter along with 5499 others, and after 1 hours and 22 minutes of playing, I get out in 168th for a prize of $0.50. Not bad for a transfer of 10FPP eh?
Go me!!!
(Lost to fucking AA vs KK) (KK got a set)
What shall I do with my 50 cents? I'm thinking of entering a $0.10 Tournament and last well in that too! hmmmm I'm happy.
You finished the tournament in 168th place.

Update
SugoGosu, Oct 06 2007
So I have been running in variance recently. I have made my bankroll to about $35 from $20 when I started a little over a week now. In my last session, which was about 400 hands (2 tabling on 1c/2c) the hand of the session was:
+ Show Spoiler +
Overall I think I'm improving a lot. I am able to get a good idea of my opponents cards just by the way they react to me. I havent played poker in the last few days due to work (10 hours a day, following school, I'm still in high school). Come graduation in the spring, I wish to increase my bankroll to at least be able to play 10c/25c. In order to do that, I must play a lot more than I am now. When I reach $200 I will move up to 2c/5c.
Let's see how that goes.

Doing Better
SugoGosu, Sep 29 2007
Before yesterday and before I started posting hands and asking for tips on how to improve, I learned that betting is not entirely for saying you have a good hand and you want people to call. Instead it's more to get an idea of how you rank up against others. Then once you realize if you are ahead or not, you decide to whether fold or raise. If you raise, you want to know how much to raise in order for him to call you, and in order to do this, you have to have a good idea of what cards he himself has.
Before yesterday, it took me 3 days to raise 50 cents. Now in just 2 hours today, I rose 7 dollars, playing 2 tables at the NL2 tables.
I also learned what people meant by NL200, NL25, etc... It's divided by 100 and thats the big blind (i hope thats right).
So after about 2 hours today, I have been studying my play as according to others and how to make a profit off of other players. I realized that I play poorly when I'm talking to other people in the room as it takes away my concentration.
While I play I listen to calming music to keep me from tilting, mainly the band, "Explosions in the Sky" ( http://www.myspace.com/texasband )
My bankroll yesterday: $20.50
My bankroll after my 2 hr session: $27.72
I'm getting better I think. Go me!
I Just Started!

Alright, so I admit it, I am a complete noob at poker. I am probably worse than those who would do mass cannon on LT. I would end up not even knowing where the damn minerals are. (All a metaphor to how bad I am)
So, I started out by having a friend transfer me $20 and after a few days, I have moved it up to about $20.50 Yeah, I'm that good! I'm a winning player at 1c/2c by $0.50 I can officially have a gum ball out of my first online poker making.
I'm 18, and I am really motivated to learn.
I think my biggest flaw in poker is that I am still give my opponent the benefit of the doubt on beating me. Even if I have a good hand, and I have position.
I one day want to be good, and have stories like everyone else here. 1c/2c is fun definitely. Yet I just sit with my jaw open when I see people with blinds bigger than my entire $20.50 bankroll.
I'm trying to put about 3 hours every day into my playing, and post hands here on Liquidpoker to see what I could have done better, and in return improve my game.
So hello everyone, and get ready to be owned in a year or two at 2c/5c
