Been spending a lot of time just refreshing graphs lately.

cariadon   Estonia. Dec 23 2017 19:54. Posts 4019

What do the graphs say? Where is the next candle going to take us? Is there any certainty whatsoever in graph fuckery?
Refreshing the price is another thing. Germany is anti-crypto as i heard on the radio today.

My hat reference was from a vague memory of someone claiming he would eat his hat if it didn't go to 25 000 $ by x time. I figure there are people who said they would eat their hat if it did go to 25 000 $.

I’m just watching them, not trying to read into them too deeply. The last month has been absurd, especially the last three days. Weird thing is that no one really knows what’s going on, assumption is Wall Street whales fucking around behind the scenes accompanied by some panic selling.

I’ve heard a lot of “oh yeah it will be back to 20k by Christmas, it’s a great time to buy”, but that’s never really followed by any actual analysis.

Yea whales dumping massive to shake out weak hands then buy it back up at the dip. I'm just holding long term and buying up promising alts. Raiblocks, Verge, Monero

Looking for more infant coins with greater upside too. Checking out ICOs

While I wouldn't ever recommend selling, watching the buu/sell walls from the limit orders on GDAX can give you some idea of the movement potential and help time when to buy more

This will surely keep happening as we climb higher/the wide public gets involved even more right?
The big accounts always offload at some point, usually when some bigger news comes out or shit like BCH happens
Investors engage stop losses, follow candles and sell or short when the drop starts
Noobs start panicking and follow and start dumping at levels where everyone starts buying again

keeps happening over and over again and probably will keep happening

93% Sure!

I personally don't believe in the technical analysis thing aka chart thing. I've read quite a bit on cryptos but never seen any solid analysis. There's always both sides to the coin arguing that it is the best time to buy or sell. Whales in poker are considered easy money, in investing whales are the ones who skin you alive.

I am definitely late on this. I remember this thread. I remember getting into it and watching that greek guy on Joe Rogan but I couldn't see myself really using bitcoins anymore. Now, I just see it as part of the future and I should be in there. My brother-in-law's brother has made like $50k so far this year on small investment betting alternative coins. My brother in law has made like $10k doing the same since September. There is clearly money to be made if you can get in low and sell before the bubble and if you are there for growth just buy again when it dips below valuation. Easier said than done I know.

What is the best place to trade?

I am looking for a PokerStars not a Rednines or FullTilt obviously. I'll take a bit higher vig if it is reputable until I understand a bit more about the environment.

I would like to bet that Bitcoin and these alternative coins are the future. I like to say fuck the banks because fuck the banks. The government and the banks may win this one which is a bummer but there is surely still plenty of growth for cryptocurrencies before that comes to a head. This is one I think the people have a chance of winning.

RikD, how to value bitcoin ? Also, but how much did they lose? Someone surely bought bitcoin when it was trading 20k usd.

RiKD    United States. Dec 28 2017 01:29. Posts 8539

I don't really know how to value bitcoin but I am going to try and find out. I am comfortable betting on bitcoin continuing to grow and doing some research on alternative coins I like and investing in those plus just learning more. For example, if a coin is going to be in Forbes magazine and you know this the coin will increase in price. If McCafree talks about a coin positively same thing. There are surely a bunch of spots available to get surging in prices then if you like the coin you can sell at a high point and rebuy when it comes down to earth or lower.

They experience swings. They have just upswonged more than not.

And those people who bought at 20k usd I would bet are still going to make money long term.

my recommendations:

BTC
ETH
LTC
XMR
DASH
BCH

and many others (but they are smaller so more riskier)
