I think he means the salary he would get after taxes if he took a random job as someone who hasn't finished school. 15k € is kinda standardish salary for a whole year at his age in sweden (after taxes)

Honestly you aren't providing enough information here for people to give you any kind of useful advice.

1. How long have you been playing poker?
2. How much do you play per week?
3. Do you feel extremely negative when you do not have a good day/things aren't going well. In other words do you become really grouchy and angry when poker luck isn't on your side?
4. Are you a winning or a losing player?
5. Is Poker your sole source of income or is it just a hobby you use to earn extra cash in your free time?
6. Why is she against you playing poker? What are the reasons she has presented?
7. Do you sometimes feel like poker is bad for you?
8. Do you find yourself always stressed out/frustrated because of poker?

Answer these questions and then people here can give you some decent advice maybe. Until you give more information the answer can only be "it depends" anyone else giving you some sort of irrefutable opinion based on the zero information you've provided is just being too lazy to ask these questions. If you want some good advice provide this information first.

Being a student is a whole different story...

Can't see a single reason why quit poker - its the best job that a student can get by far(provided you beat NL50+for a good winrate), as mostly only menial jobs will allow you to have a flexible part-time schedule throughout semesters.
If she can't respect your job than thats tough luck - I thought you were talking about being a graduate and poker having a solid alternative - if its the only was you can fund yourself without flipping burgers or cleaning a tender 'Respect it or leave bitch' approach is the right one.

What kind of a GF would want you to stop making your living and force you into student debt, when the alternative would make your life much harder.

Yes, adds to work stress. on the other hand not playing poker makes me not care and never be on the edge

why does she not like you playing poker? I'm going to guess it is because you get extremely emotional over poker, judging from your blog posts. Maybe you should try hiding the feelings you have for poker, and she won't feel like your cheating on her. I dunno, brains work in mysterious ways and this is just some random theory.
