really? you want 3/5 of brocks fights in the ufc to be against mir? i think cain should get the shot. theres nothing carwin or mir can do that would impress me more than what cain has done. |

I'm over Fitch grinding out decisions non stop. Even though it will never happen I hope GSP gets knocked out in the first 30 seconds and everyone just stands silent for like 10 minutes. I think Mir will beat Carwin, it will be interesting for me to see how Carwin a man who juggles his work ("I go to my office where I work on my hydraulic models making sure water is getting where it needs to go" , wife and kids compares to the dedication of a renewed Mir. I'm also interested to see how Diaz does with the move up. My one last hope is that Matt Riddle gets ktfo big time.
Oh and I also hope that Jamie217 and d_zoo have a great time which I think is almost guaranteed (lucky cunts). |

I know there are like 4 UFC cards in front of it but I can't stop thinking about the next Strikeforce event for some reason.
And Truth vs Bones is getting no love? |

Maruisz pudzianowski can shoulder press with 1 shoulder Brock lesnars body weight. He could 1arm bench Brock lesnar at age 16. Marius pudz can 1leg press 2x Brock lesnar body weight.
Maruisz eats 3 lbs of bacon every morning with a dozen eggs.
If fighting is about skill remove the weight limits so maruisz can grow to 350 lbs of the strongest man in the world. And see what skill counts for against physical talent and heart. |

Agree. Mir only have one win I'm impressed by and that's the sylvia one. First Lesnar was like... come on? and Big Nog looked like shit in their fight. Not that Carwin's better in that department, but still. I just hope one of them wins somewhat impressingly so that the next match vs Lesnar becomes intressting. Right now I'm not very impressed by the UFC's heavyweights at all actually. They rule every other division (lightweight questionable and light heavy is almost closeish) but Fedor, Overeem, AA and even Rogers etc seems so much more interesting then anyone except Cain and Lesnar. |

Lightweight questionable? Please explain who you think will topple Penn. Then explain who it's closeish between for LHW, you think Mousasi is going to take out the entire UFC LHW division? Unless I have misunderstood your statement. I mean the fact that you would rather watch Arlovski or Rogers probably says it all (or think that they can even do anything). Who has Overeem beat recently? And I'm over Fedor and his M-1 promotion bullshit. He needs to fight some serious competition to redeem himself in my book.
The fact is UFC divisions are pretty stacked where as other organisations have some stand outs but that is it. I mean look at Jardines history that poor fucker never gets a walk. But thats how it is at the top of UFC divisions it's just non stop top guys for anyone who wants to be the champ. Also you don't see shit like what happened with Cung Le or what will happen with Overeem for titles, just absurd.

Lightweight obviously Peen is a big favourite against anyone, but Eddie A, Aoki, a bunch of the asian dudes, hellboy etc (even though the last one moved down in weight) seems good enough be equal/better then the rest of the UFC guys. As for light heavy Henderson and maybe Mousasi can compete with anyone except for Shogun and Machida.
I'd also like to argue that Fedor is an obvious number one at heavyweight and that beating Rogers and AA is far more impressive then going 1-1 against Frank "I have on impressive win ever and that was vs an opponent who made his worst match ever" Mir, beating Heath Herring and Randy who's old as fuck and while obviously impressive no where near any title in any weight class.

Mir was also 30lbs lighter the last time he fought Lesnar. Plus Lesnar is coming off of serious illness and needs to recover a ton of muscle mass he lost from being on his back and doing nothing for months. Mir vs Lesnar 3 should be a much closer match-up... |

Weight classes is stupid. You think in real fight god comes down and turns a 250lb man into 150lbs so the two 150lbs can have an even match? NO.
I want to see 400lb sumo wrestlers vs 130lb Bruce lees with death waivers, injury waivers signed. And the rules of the fight decided by the fighters onwhats legal or illegal.
Two fighters want a no rules fight to the death, how in the hizell is it anyones responsibility to stop them. We all on this earth for a short period of time. While I live. Let me be free, let me live in a free country. |

Yes like I said a few fighters can compete with the UFC top 15-20 in each division I'm not debating if fighters like Mousasi, Hendo, Shields can be in the top of the mixes. What I am saying is that those other organisations are not stacked like the UFC. As for Aoki this is one of the reasons I'm really looking forward to seeing him fight Melendez in Strikeforce. I don't rate Melendez anywhere near his top 10 ranking so if Aoki struggles it's going to be interesting for rankings I think anyway.
Beating Rodgers and AA is not impressive. Beating Sylvia is not impressive. Beating Coleman is not impressive. The only semi recent fight I thought it was impressive Fedor won was when he beat Hong Man Choi and that was based on the sheer size difference not the skill of either fighter. Hey I used to be a Fedor nut hugger and there is no debating that he could be at the top or even the best HW. But until he fights some top level fighters there will always be legitimate doubt. Fighting washed up ex UFC fighters doesn't cut it. And also don't forget that Mir was the HW champion years ago and is back at the top since the crash, unlike AA and Sylvia. |

From memory (and I think I commented as such on Tom's blog) Lesnar did not lose that much weight (for him anyway), I think around 30-40lbs? He was also in the gym on and off all while sick. Obviously he was affected but I'm sure he is already back to almost 100%. |

im a previous pride nuthugger. but honestly the lw division isnt even close. aoki and eddie and hellboy would get rolled by any top 10 ufc LW and its not even somewhat kinda remotely maybe even a chance close.
gayhard is awesome but he still gets rolled by shogun & machida at this point.
i will agree about fedor though. him > all. |
