So I've heard that it's pretty easy to move to England? Correct? Can't be too bad. |
ya apparently its pretty easy to do, its what eastgate did to avoid getting raped by taxes
|
So gets bum raped by British taxes instead to give some chav a council house? Only our alcohol is cheaper here - thats it!!
Seriously though - my understanding of this is that SvS promotes itself as a Responsible operator, they run 7 different types of gaming (Lottery, Sports, Casino Cosmopol etc) and through their on line presence they can offer upper limits to deposit per day/per week etc - effectively a responsible gaming program - and enforce cool off periods and if they are the only online poker operator they can control or at least lessen gambling addiction and problem gamers.
Selling gambling to the Swedish public is not in general an easy thing to do but because of the stance SvS take against gambling addiction and the acceptance of this by the general public in Sweden it actually benefits their business and persuades the Government to allow it to continue and expand whilst nicely creeating a monopoly for itself.

I am sure you know better than me Ket but I thought in the UK if you have a full time job then you are not taxed on your gaming winnings. However I thought if Gambling was you only income that is taxed as if you are self employed and the tax levels are decided by the amount that you declare? I stand to be corrected but that was my understanding. |

I think it is actually something like 'your primary source of income' (gambling/poker etc) then you were taxed. But hopefully we are both wrong.... |

Does anyone know if the zero gambling tax in the UK is dependent on if its a european site, or does it count for every site? |
