Tricky hand for me... I RR the small raise pf heavy to protect my hand. 2 callers... not so good. v_club front bet overbets into 2 people (wants to shutdown action now). Based on his preflop call I deduce he might have a high pair and I'm at the bottom of his range. I decide to call and re-eval on the turn.

Now he bets weak 1/4 the size of the pot. If he really did have an overpair he should be now happy to get it in since its unlikely that the flop had helped me. The turn is ok but still scary for us. So I shove over.

Anyway in this case it turned out correct and he had nothing but a flush draw... But would you say the reasoning for my reads is accurate here? Thanks

Also did I play correctly? The preflop RR could have turned awry and flop call seems dubious considering I'm at the bottom of his PP calling range (most likely).

how do u figure the pf rr could "turn awry" at 2NL u get 3bet callers with the crappiest hands
they just want to see a flop and hit anything
dont just assume ppl have u beat otherwise when u move up to stakes with thinking players u will be folding every hand
this is such a sweet board for JJ
and how exactly are u ranging urself at the bottom of his pp calling range? u get called at these stakes by 22+, Ax, like ANY face card thats suited, the range is so ridiculously wide
just watch out for set miners/ppl that are on 10 tables and only playing premiums
its just too easy to get callers at these stakes
doesnt make any sense to bluff/play fancy

this thread is retarded lol

I agree with Neilly's first point about him just posting another brag thread. Look at genjix's posts in the tournament forum, its comical. I figured he just slipped up again since he hasn't been posting like this in the cash forums (yet).

that's fine, its why I just told him that everything about the hand was good and standard in like the first reply to this thread. Its just that he makes a lot of threads where he comes off as a braggart, and its not that productive for each person here to be opening a thread just to see a totally standard hand which never should of been posted. Maybe if he took the results out of this one we could believe that he honestly wondered how he played it but in this case it just doesn't seem that way.

he is not braging
he put his though proces b/c he still dont know what's good and what's not
and that's probably best way for him to spot and correct leaks
and poker is complex game.. you can do something wrong and still win a hand
