I think we're gonna be going with 1 utility slot and 60/30/10 payout.

I also want to propose possibly setting the draft order before the start of draft. There are several websites that will randomize the draft order. It is tamper proof because if I include people's email address it will automatically send out the results to everyone. This will allow us to prepare better for the draft knowing what position you will be in. If anyone opposes this then let me know.

i'd rather just have the order decided right before the draft starts

ok, one objection is sufficient to veto this measure. we'll let yahoo figure it out 30 minutes before start of draft.

Hi, I'm from next door. I registered here just for this shit. All I know about poker is that two of the same thing is good, and five reds beat three of a kind.

Just wanted to say I really prefer the 2 utility slot, simply because we get to play more players, which to me is fun. And I've never been in a league with four! bench spots, which to me takes away too much risk in roster management.

the reason I put in 4 bench slots is that the NBA retardedly did away with the DL slot. In past seasons, I would have a minimum of one and usually two DL slots and 3 bench slots. Since you are basically guaranteed to have at least one guy injured, this effectively means that there are less roster slots than before. I find that there is a great chance that you'll have 2 of your starters injured which means that you are left with a single bench slot to manuever your lineup and that kinda sucks.

I'd prefer to keep 4 bench slots but if people object, then I'll change it back to 3.

Regarding the second UT slot, a couple people voiced their preference against it. I'm actually kinda for it like HonestTea. It gives you tremendous flexibilty in roster management and the ability to go after certain categories later in the season. It is also an extra slot which means the league becomes deeper and as a result, a greater degree of skill is involved. However, I sometimes felt that it afforded too much flexibility. Positional considerations rarely become a factor anymore since you could theoretically start 4 PG or 4 PF at a time. I dunno, I could go both ways. Let me put this issue back on the table and let's hear from more people on what they prefer.

Ok guys, 12 days to live draft so we gotta settle up these loose ends.

We got NBB and TimDawg in favor of 1 UT slot and nutshot and honesttea in favor of 2. Please state your preference and you have until Sunday to place your vote. If it ends up in a tie, my vote will be the tiebreaker.

Also, if anyone knows pacifist, ask him if he's still interested in playing. If he joins, we'll have a full league of 12 members. Assuming he joins and everyone pays up, the payout will be as follows:

Total Prize Pool - $2460 ($60 added by TenBagger)

1st - 60% - $1500 ($60 added by TenBagger)
2nd - 30% - $720
3rd - 10% - $240

Also, I ask that you guys ship the buyin to TenBagger (Brooklyn) on PS or PM me for alternative payment methods. If I know you, then I don't mind if you wait until right before the draft. But to those guys that I don't know well, I ask that you pay up at least a couple days before the draft. I ask this because I would like to leave enough time to find alternate managers in case you don't pay up and you leave the league. As I mentioned previously, I am personally guaranteeing the prize pool so you either need to pay up before the draft or work something out with me. I've commished several leagues successfully and if you guys need any further reassurance, especially in light of the logiabs fiasco, I'll give nutshot/newbornbaby/BJLTNYK/albonycee my home address and phone number so they can hunt me down and beat my ass if I don't pay up. =)

i wouldn't be surprised if there are a handful of ppl better than either of you guys on this site. dunno if i am but i think i saw something about anon playing semi-professionally or at least saw some pictures of him throwing down pretty nasty in official looking games so my vote would go to him unless nenad medic or huck seed have lurker accounts on here.
