im interested in doing hundred dollar one. how many people do you have per basketball fantasy league? maybe we make 2 leagues from lp if anyone wants to do lower. i also might do 200 if i have to. but i wont know for a couple weeks about being able to do a 200 one

there definitely wont be enough interest to get two leagues going. 12 is an ideal number for a league but I think we're gonna have a hard time filling it up.

you should just go ahead and join the league, and we can work out the buyin details. If there are some enough people that prefer 100 then we can go that route. However, if we stay at 200 and you can't play, then you can just unregister.

But all of you guys that mentioned interest should sign up ASAP!

and also let me know if the buyin and draft time work for you.

anybody seen craigerson or albonycee around lately? they participated actively in our last basketball season and may be interested in joining this year.

OK guys, we have 9 people already so even if no one else joins, thats still enough for a solid league. TT and Pacifist, you guys should hurry up and join. Also, if you guys kno any1 else that may be interested, let them know about this league.

Finally, let's iron out the details since the draft is soon approaching. If anyone besides fakeshaver has a problem with 200$ entry fee, let me know ASAP. If no one else does, then we're just gonna go ahead with it. If that is the case, then fakeshaver, let me know if it's going to be an issue for you and we can try to work something out.

i kept having problems joining because i typed the league name liquid poker. but u are supposed to input the number f rom ti mdawgs post. also albonycee wants to do 100, u guys should have it 100 dollars but then just put side action of 100 each or something against each other. or im sure there is a way it can be done so we bet different amounts.

Ok, I edited the first page with easy instructions on how to join.

fakeshaver: unfortunately, there is no way to set up a league so there are different buyins amounts and have it be fair. albo has agreed with the 200 so that leaves you as the only member that wants 100$ buyin. I really would love to have you join and have a bigger league but I think it wouldn't be fair to go against the wishes of everyone else for one person. Maybe you can find another member to play with you and you share the buyin or something. Feel free to try to work something out with me, but remember that I am personally guaranteeing the prizepool so you either need to pay in full before the draft or we'll need to work something out.

kk i understand tenbagger. i will work on grinding out more money the next couple weeks and if it goes well i will stay in for 200. i will let u know before draft day.

Ok, so we already have 10 members which is enough for a solid league. However there are two more slots if anyone else is interested.

Draft is less than two weeks away so everyone should start doing their homework.

I'm open to sidebets with anyone for up to $200 on who finishes higher. And as the three time defending LP fantasy champion, I will be personally throwing in an extra $50 overlay to first place... that is if anyone can knock me off the champions throne.

You guys can start sending the entry fee of $200 to TenBagger (Brooklyn) on stars or contact me for alternative payment methods.

Also, I would like to take a vote of league members for a couple things. First is preference for Utility slots. The league is currently structured for two, but I'm thinking it may be too much. I'm leaning towards keeping two but since we have a minimum of 10 teams, we can change it to one if people prefer that. Second issue is payout structure. We've always used default SNG payout of 50/30/20. But I was thinking about making it 60/30/10 for a bigger payout at the top. Everyone please post your preference on these matters.

Finally, I want to remind everyone about playing to win and collusion. Even if you are in dead last and you don't care about your team anymore, please have enough consideration to the rest of the league by not engaging in collusive behavior. This includes not only trades but also intentionally dropping a player, punting a category, intentionally sitting players, etc. The basic litmus test is that your sole motive for any transaction should be to improve the standing of your own team. This is the foundation of any successful fantasy league and I ask that all members abide by this rule.

I prefer one utility slot. I project no big injuries to my STACKED lineup -_-. Higher payout structure is fine with me.
