english books, but 2 of my favorite books are catcher in the rye by J.D. Salinger and You Shall Know Our Velocity(Y.S.K.A.V.) by Dave Eggers.
the first you may have read already, blah blah. famous book about a depressed kid, not sure how well known second one is, but in the first page it says "Everything within takes place after Jack died and before my mom and I drowned in a burning ferry.......etc".
i guess i read downer type of books, thats my two cents

Well if u like Fantasy books
Riftwar Saga by Raymond Feist is the best fantasy shit ive ever read in my life ( lord of the rings is a baby joke compared to this)
Riftwar Saga is originally 4 books each 400-600 pages
Magician: Apprentice
Magician: Master
Silverthorn
A Darkness at Sethanon
Its part of the big Midkemia Saga by Raymond Feist ( like 30 books or so)
So if u like Fantasy u have like 2000pages of a sick fantasy journey here
