L44 WD on NM. anyone eles feel like off-hands are underpowered? been using int shields all game

Figured out another way to get a ton more Spirit. The Against All Odds rune Mantra gives you a bit when you get hit and it accumulates fast. This means vortex and critical hits aren't as important as before unlocking it. The only downside is you have to rely purely on your vitality/your Cyclone & Breath of Heaven for heals because you can't use the Mantra, so there isn't much running away anymore, you're always tanking, so you have to have really good gear and resists.

You might want to use Serenity instead of BoH too. Still playing around with it... lots of options.

Level 54 Monk here, Hardcore.
My playstyle is similar to Loco's, probably because there's no other way...
Monk is really all about Transcendence, spirit generating and spamming like crazy.
I use Fist of Thunder with Quickening though, sitting at 22.50% crit right now. Build
Serenity is a must in Hardcore, jail/wall with molten/arcane enchanted/fire chains etc can do some pretty crazy damage, especially with low resists.
My resists are just 'starting' to kick in, didn't have shit until Hell, trying to raise my poison res as high as possible without gimping everything else right now.
It's pretty tough since there's really no good items 50+ on the Hardcore AH...
Still managed to hit 80-90 all res, thanks to One With Everything, which is enough to make a difference.
But yeah, I have over 1m now and I really haven't bought shit. :/

Nice build. I forgot about that ability, and now that I'm over 15% crit it's better to use it. Salvo is 15% chance to generate 15 Spirit, and it doesn't hit as fast (still really fast though). I see you use the best Mantra for Hardcore, but you're missing out on a lot of Spirit regen. You'll also use the Near Death Experience for sure on Hardcore, while I can easily pass on it. Impressive stuff, Lvl 54 HC Monk.

Any good dh out there? I'm lvl 39 with 6k vit and 1200dps nm act 2. I use rapid fire with the rockets rune, poison bolas, multishot with slow, fan of knives with +radius, smoke screen with +hatred regen, vault with stun, and archery cull of the weak and steady aim passives.

NM is a breeze so far cuz bolas and multishot do decent aoe, I have lots of slows so I can kite with smoke and vault forever. for bosses,I just rapid fire em down it does soo much dmg to single targets.

What's ur DH build?

So far, I really don't need spirit regen, crit procs does the job well enough.
It might be a good idea if I'm planning on solely kiting/fighting from afar though.
As for Near Death Experience, obviously I haven't been able to test it yet, not sure if I ever will.
The problem with this is that, I wonder... will It really save me?
Unless it resets my cooldown, I doubt it will.
It's not like WD's version of it, where the WD goes into spirit walk after death.
{Feel free to test it for me though heh}

Anyway, right now I can't play at all.
The servers are slow in Hell HC for some reason, hitting 350ms ping and getting frequent 1.5k spikes.
Normal/NM works fine. {150~ms with a 300ms cap, no spikes} Not sure what's up.
I was able to play Hell just fine during the GSL at least. ;o

wow awesome :O lost my HC barb at L10 fml, you're probably farming levels ahead to make things easier in hell/inferno right?

hardcore is much scarier now that there is a cooldown on the potions, its so easy to die unless you build specifically for defense

pfth, everyone I've run into are lollingat my damage, they go "WHY SO HIGH LOL"

6-7 hours into level 60 a day ago or two, I broke 30k, now I'm at 40k dps, don't think barbs n monks with similar gear is close to that.

My mate just decided to fuck dps, and just go tank, since it went x10 better if I was dpz

I'd be so worried about all the mobs that blow up 2 seconds after they're dead lol. Especially the ones who's put in a delayed blast, you wait 2 sec, then hmm, looks safe, go over, and it blows up 5 sec after lol. Hard to not if they drop yellow loot lol.

Not sure how to link it, but best item so far is a 550 dps crossbow, got a semi cool good legendary chest, rest is just so so, probably crap not sure lol.

Hehe, I'm sure you can do some pretty sick damage but, I fear that would never work in HC.
