so how does new system work? theres no strength/vitality/... just skills u can run up to 20? items are only limited by lvl?

system rundown is
stats:
there are stats str/vit/dex/int
they increase automatically by level, u do not assign stat points
items can modify stats

skills:
there are no skill "levels"

you either have a skill, or not. they are unlocked based on your character level

additionally, variations on skills come in the form of "runes", which also unlock by character level. they can completely change the way a skill works. so, having access to a new Rune for skill X is like having a whole different skill at times.

no, runes simply unlock with your character level

like how a skateboarder learns an Ollie, and then learns how to turn the Ollie into a Kickflip

so i have no impact on character developement? everything unlocks w/ new lvl and i can only choose whitch skill i will use? wtf

except that there are literally billions of possible skill combinations and probably hundreds of viable skill builds for each class, plus item progression/customizing your item attribute bonuses to your skill choices.

different skill builds will benefit from different item modifiers (there are stat modifiers, and things like "gold pick up radius" modifiers, which some skills also use to enhance their function). so you are effectively committing to developing your character in a certain way when you start spending your in-game resources to gather gear for a specific type of skill build
