How long did it take to really start making large amounts of money from poker?
I've heard stories where guys deposit 50, and now are making 30k a month, how long does it take to achieve this status ?

I had my first 30k+ month 13 months into my "real" poker career. But I had played some before that, mostly grinding freerolls and pennytables from time to time while underaged so I had some experience. |

i started this post all because i was in x17 and players where talking about ex starcrafts guys making big money like, nazful,elky,fayth,rekrul... and fayth happens to post =) |

It's not a matter of time, really.. It's more how much effort you put into learning the game. Most players will never have a 30k+ month.. A lot of people never even get to 30k bankroll.. I think you need to be realistic about this game, and the questions that you address show that you're not. I mean, it's nice to have goals but your goal is so distant that you're bound to be disappointed 1000 times before you'll get there. |

A question for those that are doing 20k+ a month, how may hands/hours is that a week on average? I'm assuming you learn a lot more as you go, so returns go up. |

you will make money if:
you play abc at FR nitring 8 hours solid robotic poker at stars
dont care about results and never tilt.
maybe in 2 years you can make prolly 20k playing 1knl FR multitabling |
