Laak was there just for those couple of hands. Next week a totally new line-up wil start and Lex won't be part of that initial group. Later on, when one of the guys busts or gives up, Lex will make his comeback and play again. He said himself that will probably be the last 3 episodes of the day 3 showing.

i for one like Laak, i think it's fun to seem him at the table bantering, just not at the cost of anyone important, and certainly not replacing ivey.

Why the fuck does Laak even complete with QQ there? Does he think he's going to 4-bet a raise there? Here's how the action would go if Laak's "plan" succeeded.

1.) Laak completes with QQ.
2.) It's limped to PA who pops it for 18k.
3.) Laak flat calls because he's the biggest nit ever.
4.) PA Cbets twice on a K high board and Laak c/f turn.

last season when laak 3bet AA to 50k i thought he was joking when he said he maybe calls with KK to make a set.

this ep was extremely disappointing. and barry greenstein, i like him, but jesus is he nitting it up

Laak was there purely for t.v. time. He knows hes the fish so he's avoiding action and avoiding huge pots at all costs, which is why he doesn't raise with QQ or makes it 50k with AA. He believes seeing a flop is -EV for him

imo laak adds a lot in entertainment value because it's hilarious how poorly he plays for a supposed veteran high profile pro. sure people have long tired of his antics but he's there to laugh at, not with

Gabe Kaplan's jokes are so fucking bad this season. And he's being so result oriented with his comments. As if Andrew Robl's shove with AQ wasn't justified when he ran into PA's aces. When Daniel did the same play vs Raszi in a similar spot with 99 it was a great play tho...

I miss AJ Benza. That being said HSP is still by far my favorite poker show.
