If Santafairy wore that into work he would probably be made fun of but then it turns into a trend and middle America follows. Santafairy's best bet is to just get some stupid bag that is coveted by middle America. That would probably be bag #1. If he goes too nice it might rub people the wrong way but upper management or a potential date might take notice.

Kanye's friend and former designer started this bag company. It is inherently "cool" and will probably take off as a new trend (it already has). I think it is as useful as a fanny pack. I don't think it is gay for men to have bags. It is gay to be attracted to other men and have sex with them. It is misguided and new slavery to spend $600 on the bag above. Just get a $5 fanny pack.

I only really got into the gateway designers but if I don't really notice a difference in the bankroll I am not going to be shopping at Target if I can shop at Hugo Boss (I wouldn't shop at either Target or Hugo Boss today). It is a self-centered craving really. Now, I act more like a broke artist because I am a broke artist so if I were to get clothes I'd get clothes from thrift stores or something you've never heard of. But, my main motive isn't to look cool. That tends to creep in always as part of the motive. I really am just truly broke so only wear the clothes I already have. I gave most of my corporate America epoch clothes to Goodwill so that gives me good karma when I shop there.

Seriously though fuck designer clothing. I remember when I would get excited to go shopping in Nordstroms then Nieman and Marcus then Prada. Fuck that shit. I will take a piss on the floor in Prada. But, I am a hypocrite because if I had a billion dollars I would wear Prada.

Well, I didn't fucking look like James Bond! I looked like me but I forgot what I looked like and it looked fucking weird. I am certainly not getting casted as Bond anytime soon but that is what I am talking about!

The marketing. I remember the first time I wore a tuxedo I felt like James Bond. There was a real marked difference in my confidence. The one night I ended up in an orgy which further increases confidence. There is something to be said for this. There is a real power to the clothing or am I just getting fooled again?

I don't know man. I remember when I was unemployed in Pittsburgh I would go out on the porch with some coffee and just bird watch. There was something charismatic about a large, symmetrical, vividly red cardinal swooping in for some food. We humans can attain something like that with what we wear. So, I can't say there is 0 value in fashion.
