This is extreme but also applicable to me. The idea that racism is part of human nature is widely argued against in academia-i mean some philosophers have researched this I think, though i havn't touched the topic. I think most philosophers think it's a social construction, like the value of money or medieval pseudo scientific understandings of physical health. And it makes sense when you look at the historical record of racism, it's pretty hard to argue that racism is in our nature.

neuro-economists would argue however, that human beings have a chemical basis for valueing those human beings that interect within their group, their peers rather than those outside of their group. and their are experiments where mice are injected with this chemical which will then increase their enthusiam for looking after mice that they are distantly related to. The neurophysiology of moral judgement was a topic that was related to my thesis paper so i read up on it a little bit. It's a new and emerging field of research with good potential.

mumia abu jamal has some pretty interesting perspectives on race relations imo. I would try reading the more articulate perspectives from the BLM movement before dismissing it as a whole. I mean can't you see that racism is a real and extreme issue simply by comparing how black dominated cities like new orleans or detroit are treated compared to white dominated cities? Or how harsh prison sentences are given out to black people in America? It's really not that hard to see imo. You don't understand the basic definition of transphobia for starters. Transphobia refers to negative attitudes and actions towards trans people. It's not restricted to not being able to be in a room with them out of fear. You're conflating the subject with phobias that are more accurately understood to be clinical phobias.

Newbsaibot's post implies that he doesn't believe a MtF trans person who hasn't transitioned is a woman. He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite confident based on that statement that he would also use the pronoun 'he' when addressing someone like Riley Dennis. Same as Ben Shapiro does. That's transphobic. (Actually, no, it's not the same, since Shapiro does it even after someone has transitioned). It doesn't matter if you think they are wrong on some issues, it's discriminatory and shitty. I can understand when egomaniacal religious kooks like Shapiro do it but the fact that you make excuses for people like him is truly pathetic.

I don't like to be dismissive of people. I've been scratching my head as to how I can possibly respond to your post. But there really isn't a good way to do it. It's lose-lose. It's not my job to educate you on transphobia. I don't have the time. You can inform yourself. (Hint: YouTube isn't a good place for learns)

There is nothing remotely 'religion-phobic' about calling someone like Shapiro a religious kook. He uses his own personal and culturally-learned biases and religious beliefs to argue for taking away people's freedom to do what they want with their own bodies and he openly discriminates against people whom he can't relate to. I don't hate, fear or discriminate against people who are religious. My atheism doesn't affect people who are religious. People can believe whatever they want as long as they aren't hurting anybody. I only bring up people's religious beliefs when they are harmful or show someone's poor ability to engage in critical thinking and understand complex issues.
