Woodley can't really just make an adjustment to be more consistently aggressive. Doubt it's in him as he's just such a dense and muscular guy where he's built more for those ridiculous, short explosive bursts. It's not like he can suddenly put on some kind of Ferguson or Diaz pace and he's pretty aware of that so he builds his pace around that. Would be better for him though if he didn't just go straight back when he's taking mini breathers though. Thompson is pledging to put more of a consistent pace on and let his hands go more this time but we'll see if he can really execute that properly once he tastes a Woodley right hand bomb again

I will know right away if I am wrong about Tony totally making Khabib feel lost in there. I mean, the wrestling is a concern but Ferguson was a top level wrestler first before going into all sorts of arts and Khabib hasn't really fought anyone near Tony's wrestling/jits level which is why im suspecting all this rasslin hype is built by Dana. RDA is a blackbelt in BJJ sure, like anderson belfort Silva and every other brazilian fighter out there who dont even seem to use it. Tony's jits is for MMA by Bravo, Eddie talks in length about it in the JRE and you can see that his Jits is really aggressive EBI style not something he just uses when he's on the ground.

I can't wait to see the fight and surely I'll keep quiet if I see that Khabib is the monster everybody says he is, (bear wrestling lol). Or is he just another jake shields type who just got the right matchups and packaging. Tony's length will dictate this and I'm sure he wont fight like he does against his other opponents always recklessly engaging in the pocket

I might be wrong about this and would need to check back fights but, the way you guys are describing Fergusson it kind of fits Johnson's description. Tall fighter, huge gas tank, fights tall, lots of volume and use to be a wrestler.

And Johnson is really a fast twitch guy with hands, a very watered down version of Woodley who has on top of his fast twitch also has really a high wrestling pedigree and better timing/power, Tony Ferguson is totally different.

They are very different, Fedor was a much better striker and also less position-focused on his wrestling, Khabib is uncomfortable while striking from the outside he closes distance with one or two wild shots mostly while Fedor was very loose and comfortable striking with that weird "russian-hooking" style that his brother also uses.

I didn't mean they fight the same, they have the same mentality. From this serene apparent calmness to monster in a splitsecond. Ferguson is this skateboarding dancing nancy while Khabib you know, wrestled bears and all that stuff.

Watch from 8:35 to 11:00 of the video. Luke Thomas talks about Khabib not looking good during his interview today (Thursday) due to his weight cut.

Works for me. Actually had changed my pick to Ferguson already. Just feel the odds should be closer and re-watching RDA vs Ferguson in Mexico...Ferguson's cardio is just too insane to ignore. Hoping Ferguson doesn't try anything fancy early, makes Khabib work hard and then pours it on mid rd 3 to 5. Thinking a finish somewhere in there if Ferg successfully makes Khabib expend a good bit of energy early

Thompson > Woodley. Bit of bias in here for me but also think I feel good about Thompson making the better adjustments. Hopefully he times Woodley's explosions better and backs Woodley into his straight line shell a bit more

Kelly > Evans and Reem > Hunt though I'm holding off on these two until after weighins

Hopefully the main and co-main end up as good/fun as they are on paper

GSP is back in the UFC. He will fight Michael Bisping later this year, probably at the PPV card in Canada.

There was a press conference @ 2nd about GSP - Bisping , they might've held it at the same venue

Eh he's still probably getting paid and likely auto gets next title shot, which could mean huge payday if Conor decides to fight. Possibly this ends up being the best outcome for him as I think Khabib had a good chance at beating him.

This is Khabibs 2nd time missing weight, would really suck if the LW division loses him. Don't think he will be that great at WW.
