Thank you. Some of these Flash VODs are impressive stuff. The macro is ridiculous. I don't know how he does it so well. Just a lot of practice I guess.

He's really tough to beat in this tourney, on top of his insane medium to long game, he has rush builds that he uses like 15% of the time which are unbelievably timed to wreck any non-top5 guy in the league. The only people I think that can beat him are still out, Fantasy (not because he is better, but it is TvT which is coinflippy) and Jangbi (He takes the fight to Flash and brings it every big game, I even feel Flash is "scared" when they play)

Zergs now are still trying to figure out how to beat Flash in long games because Hive is no longer the safe space for Zerg since Flash proved that a bio-mech transition is a viable build.

I'm going with Best vs Sea. = I can see BEST sweeping SEA
Obviously Flash vs Jaedong = but it can't be a sweep, more like 3-1 for Flash
Feel bad for Jaedong straight to the woodchipper in his comeback, but he'll definitely be far stronger in the next ASL for sure, I can see the fire in his eyes already hehe

if sea wins this, i want jaedong in the finals.

Holy shit Best's macro is beast, but I can't help but believe his brood war IQ is borderline retarded. Pretty much every game he had me saying "wtf are u thinking?"

Game 1 - That proxy gate. That wasn't even a "cheese" build order. He simply decided to build his first gateway in the middle of the map for god knows what reason. So his zealot would get to Sea's base 10 seconds sooner? Is that really worth sacrificing a pylon and gateway as soon as vultures+mines were out?

Game 2 - recalling an army into basically a walled in position and in range of 20 sieged up tanks. Not sure how he thought that would play out, maybe he thought the scvs would all die from the siege tank splash.

Game 3 - Not so much an idiotic play but I want to point out that he beautifully defended his fast expo build vs 2 fact and then he let his opponent triple expand with absolutely zero pressure. Sea started his 4th command center before his 3rd factory. He wasn't even really producing out of those 2 factories either. That was asking to be busted. Instead Best just continued with his game plan of teching to arbiters.

Game 4 - That hidden expo was executed perfectly, should have won the series for BeSt with that macro advantage but instead he inexplicably switched to carriers after teching all the way to arbiters.

Game 5 - wtf was that? 2 gateways but no units and no scouting? I still have no idea wtf he was trying to do there. Looks like he forgot a pylon so he was stuck at 17/17 supply. How do you get to that level but forget a pylon?

yea game 5 looks like best wanted DTs but just got cheesed. wasn't really feeling his gameplan there anyways. Must have been on unreal tilt from that meltdown in game4

he seemed ragetilted when those 12 probes got intercepted by vults and decided to "fuck it lezgo carriers" haha
if he planned it, he shouldve cancelled it just because his econ would not support carriers in that "transition window"
if he didnt plan it then he is retarded for doing a transition like that when he could not afford it after that probe bust
Had he just sat on his 5 fucking bases and just arbitered the shit outta that map that was a lock already after Sea over-committed to turrets and static D when best just 3 based unchallenged early game which is a protoss dream

Yes, it's a huge part of starcraft to adapt to what your opponent is doing. If he triple expands with almost no defense then you should consider doing a bust, but if he turtles the fuck out of his bases like in game 4 then you should play a macro game. The fact that you think I'm being contradictory by saying Best should play a macro game one game but not a macro game the other just shows you also don't know how to adapt to your opponent's play. Not going for a bust in game 3 is perfectly fine, but if he did it would have showed me that he is capable of making real-time decisions in response to what his opponent is doing. Instead the real-time decisions that he did end up making were very ill-advised.
