It's a standard practice to keep documents of such cases locked for around 100 years, I believe. It does make sense to keep them confidential for at least a few years imo.
Anyway, nothing too curious out yet. Seems like Hoover knew Oswald will get shot and warned the police, but they didn't do shit. The only weird thing is the story of that female reporter which was apparently going to reveal something huge, but instead got killed in a completely out of character experience.

Catalonia might become a good example how an absurd situation can snowball into complete chaos and all because the people don't react.

Even if you're a Catalonian who's pro-independence, the very fact that you allow your local government to do these ridiculous actions in the past month is completely insane regardless of whether they support your cause. What actions, declare independence? if you are pro-independence you should support that, what do you want them to request for a nation-wide vote that they will obviously lose?

Nah, the referendum wasn't invalid because it wasn't nationwide. Obviously, the central government didn't want to legalize it, however Catalonia already had a 1 or even 2 votes in the past 10 years. How many times will they ask the people the same question? Every time some bullshit populist wants to run a new country?

That being said, the referendum that was done was absolutely bonkers - anyone could print out 1000 papers and push them as "votes" that would count. Even Putin isn't rigging elections that heavily ... and he won with 140% at some places. It's true Spain's central government is even more retarded than the local government of Catalonia though, it's amazing that this is possible.
