I don't really get the Latin America argument. Are you referring to holding crypto to escape govt inflation? There already exist a lot of stable commodities to escape inflation, outside of bitcoin. I guess crypto is the best for that but it seems really marginal to me.

US dollars/Euro or put it in the stock market. I was under the impression that crypto is not great for massive amounts of fast transactions anyway? (Could be mistaken). In any case, if my government ever chooses to engage in hyperinflation i'd be putting it into SP500 until someone gives me a better idea. I think the bigger problem with hyperinflation is not people losing savings but the fact that a vital technology (currency) can no longer be used.
