After a little research about Carbon here's what I've found.

1. The rake is the highest 4.5% on every pot, lowers at $2/4 but there are no $2/4 games
2. No frequent player points (they used to have fpp, but dropped it )
3. No rakeback of any kind (They used to have rakeback but dropped it.).

Over time they are giving less and less back to the players, one gets the feeling they are in it for the short run. There are still rakeback sites including LP offering rackback at Carbon, but it just isn't true and hasn't been for years. Good things are:

1 You can use HUD
2. The software is good.

you guys probably should know this ....

i've recently heard from a friend of a friend who works at ultimatepoker that upper management has been telling the ultimate staff that bovada is in the process of being shut down by tribal casinos for operating without a license while these tribes are unable to obtain one ...

this isn't absolutely for sure but ive talked to a few ppl in the know and they seem to mostly agree.

it could happen as soon as 3 months from now.

get a deck of cards and start playing, that easy.

vpning is fine chris but u gotta have cashouts and all that shit setup through ppl and do trades and lose out on %'s of ur $. its not bad tho, if you VPN, don't pick a site that you will want to play on in the future, ie. 888 is going to be solid for a long time imo, so avoid 888, Party will be good again prolly, so why vpn there.

networks like iPoker run easy zoom games, if you are to VPN, choose sites like that if you are going to be playing poker for the long term.

wow I would insta-cash out with a rumor that specific, its just not smart to leave any money in there besides maybe a small amount to play if you must

time to cashout dawg <3

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

im only cashing out at the same pace I had been ... but im playing a ton more now ... trying to earn as much as possible cuz i have a feeling if they get shut down they are going to pay out all the accounts.

they have a successful sportsbook ... if poker gets shut down i'm sure they don't want all the sportsbettors to cash out all their funds.

bovada is licensed by the phillipine gov't and pays them massive taxes...doubt phillipines would ever sell them out to the feds...unless the feds catch ayre but good luck with that

but who knows the feds always find a way...

either way very weird that ultimate poker would say this seems more likely to be some form of disinformation (heard similar rumors a year ago from very reputable sources but nothing happened)

their servers must be here tho right? how else do they only offer poker inside the US? why is it they don't offer to anyone outside US/canada?

Skoal   Canada. Aug 05 2014 11:11. Posts 460

servers are definitely not here, would be wayyy too ez for them to get busted and they only offer to US as bovada because thats their way of protecting the bodog brand markettingwise and legally internationally if shit hits the fan for bovada somehow

bovada is a shell of bodog comprised of many other shells that are always changing to do payment processing

the phillipine gov't hands out int'l gambling licenses very easily cuz the country is so broke and its a great way to collect taxes

MARSHALL28   United States. Aug 05 2014 19:56. Posts 1897

you seem to know more about them than pretty much anybody i know. so what do you think the chances are that the info i'm getting is accurate?

Skoal   Canada. Aug 05 2014 21:08. Posts 460

i personally feel the chances that all the sudden random tribal casinos in cali/usa have found some leverage to shut down a multimilliondollar international company that the feds have been trying to stop for years (and founder is on ICE's top hitlist) to be around...very low lol

also seems weird coming from a brand like ultimate poker thats making no money.."stop playing the illegal site cashout your funds and come play on ultimate!!!!!"

the main worrisome thing imo is the gov't/isp's gaining full control of internet which is probably the only way they could stop bovada

either way cashing out your bovada rolls is completely retarded, even if you knew 100% that in 6 months bovada was fucked, it'd still be worth it to keep some money and keep playing lol

GoldRush   United States. Aug 06 2014 00:33. Posts 1025

carbon is good but i have heard some weird stuff about them recently

ACR has more regs but has been reliable since they started and the games are solid - we could use new blood - americascardroom.eu - sign up for the debit card, takes a few weeks, its worth it. ur poker br is on u at all times in ur wallet etc
