i expect OKC to win and i think the -7 pt spread is too sharp to bet on either side, i just think the Grizzlies find a way to win >27% of the time.

i also think that even though OKC is favorite to win 1st q/get first 10pts/20pts, there's too much variance in that to be laying +140, +160, +160, and i think the public probably overestimates the come-court advantage/"energy coming out of the gates" b/c of the way it's hyped up in the media. that said i didn't think about it too hard and wouldn't be shocked if there's some math that proves my ideas wrong.

player props are just for fun but took Westbrook under b/c Conley is a great defender, took Conley pts under because i think him expending energy on slowing down Westbrook will be a priority over scoring himself. this could mean shit if Westbrook decides it would be fun to take like 40 shots though. took Gasol over just because i think he plays well in high-pressure games, and he's a tough cover so they should try utilize him, unless he's struggling with his stroke i think he should get 16+ very often.

Durant u8.5 1st q just seemed like a decent play at even money to me.

kind of want to bet total under 191 but i guess i'll pass on it.

just took another look at futures, how are the Pacers still bigger favorites than everyone besides Heat/Spurs/Thunder to win the title?

put $10 on Grizz 75:1, $10 on Wiz 75:1, and $2 on Bobcats 500:1 to win championship

there is more money in the props than the normal lines. (not all of them with crazy juice but the books are less sharp on these in general. Although if you make too much on these at least Bovada will cripple your betting limits)

yeah i've heard of them doing that, i don't see myself prop betting anything after NBA playoffs really, and 80% of my bets are <$50 so hopefully im off their radar lol

I have a total of $15 on OKC -6.5. I'll play the second half by ear, and see if OKC can keep the momentum going and/or get into their groove of scoring a lot of points.

Make a ton of money betting MMA, than lose it all betting basketball. Just like I was saying, it happened again with the Fox card Saturday and than betting half the winnings on my Rockets last night. I'm done though, fuck betting basketball unless someone on LP is like a transparent long term winner that you can point me to.

Oh, I will admit that I'm a total newb at all things NBA, so you don't have to worry about me trying to argue about that. My sports are MMA, tennis, and hockey. I'm betting these playoffs just to gamble, and it's been good to me thus far, so I think I'll stick with it for now. I followed this NBA season and have an idea of what's going on, but I by no means think I know a lot about the sport as a whole.

As for the second part of my original comment, I felt it was justified. OKC is usually good with 3's afaik, and they should focus more on putting points on the board right now. They started making more baskets toward the end of the first half, so hopefully they can continue doing so.
