The spreadsheet that contains NL1k, PLO400, NL400 and NL200?

There are plenty of correlations between that and gambling addiction:

1: You said you sat at NL400 because there werent any lower games running. You were unable to control your impulse to gamble. A normal person would have looked on a different site, or done something else. You knew it was stupid, you knew you couldnt afford to lose the money, but you still sat.

2: Your graph contains what is obviously a short-stacked "hope i get even" flip at PLO400 and multiple other instances of sitting in games you couldnt afford to sit in that were almost 100% RoR (please dont try and make out like this was "aggressive BR management"

3: You have absolutely no issue with stacking off your dads money, and have made it clear on more than 1 occasion that you consider this money yours and excuse your gambling losses with a "theres plenty more where that came from" attitude.

4: Poker is preventing you from working a real job or getting any qualifications, even at minimum wage would yield you a higher income than poker is.

5: You continually gamble "no matter the consequences" - case in point, your $18,000 debt to multiple people. You went from 1 person to the next to get money to continue to gamble and now youre taking it right out of your fathers pocket.

6: Youre broke as fuck and have a 1 way ticket on a freight train to rock bottom.

Gambling till the day you die, at this rate it wont be long. Get some help.

Out of curiosity, if you were to be completely cut off and went busto, what would you do Ryan? Would you apply for jobs? Would you take the first one that hired you, and keep applying for better paying jobs until you got the one you want? What are your alternatives to poker anyway? Like what is the single best paying job you could probably get right now?

bye now

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

This question is very similar to hypothetical stuff like "What would you do if you had a billion dollars?" There is no point in answering it since he does not have a lifestyle that would allow this to happen, ever.

A degenerate is a self destructive person addicted to gambling with no self control, that is you.

byrnesam = i don't have 18k in debts, i paid off a 1.6k debt and 1k debt and paid rent til january.

i don't care if im a degen, i always have been, it pays hard in mtt's - just gotta play more valueown poker in cashgames and stay with my limits, it is a possibility.

newbsaibot - i have like 50 people that want to stake me for MTT's. I have no worries and I'll be playing poker forever lol.

You guys all act like this is the worst thing in the world, yet I laugh it off.

Does 3k mean that much to you guys?

Or is it because it takes most of you 2-3 months to make that?

I average 20k a month MTTing, I'm pissing around, i did tilt, and I do want to win, but mostly just trying to become a cashgame monster before spring which I already stated.

I'll play poker til the day I die, ur def right Byrn! and I'll make about 50x more than you LOL

I'm still well over 100k for the year in profits. You?

Yeah, I has a few debts, and Bullshit is the only one who has asked and he knows hes getting it very soon. Thats my business, not yours.

See, I have the balls to post the truths etc, you sit in a corner and just bash on others, whos the real man? The cynical asshole that always wants to put people down, or the player that makes a mistake, and makes it public immediately to get advice, berated and learn from his mistakes?

imo, byrn, you think 15k is alot of money?

9k in debts and 6.4k to PTP, thats not shit for an MTTer thats been staked since black friday when the debts accrued before black friday, and i've paid off 27k of the debts. *was 30k in debt*

Maybe, just maybe, you should focus on giving constructive critisism, instead of trying to put down someone who is just working on there cashgames over the winter.

You guys all know I own the living fuck out of online MTT's, and just got 3/171 in my first $1k 3 day main event, do you think I care at all?

I have a thousand in the bank, bills paid, greenery, a br to build, good friends, new skis, a great family, and a ton of fun.

I love to degen poker, its fun as can be man, long ass sessions of battling with people, I play for the mindgames, I play for the fun of the game, I play cuz I fucking love this game.

I believe, 100% whole heartedly that I'll have numerous scores over 100k.

I've told all my friends IRL that I consider myself broke til I have 50k.

Idk why I even post so you guys can actually understand, its more fun the other way, honestly, I just don't give a fuck. (by the way - which is what it takes to make it to the fucking top)

anyways,
I'll degen 18 tabling NL25-NL50 and have fun with that til I'm back 1500-2k, then NL50-NL100 cuz I don't have time to piss around making $6/hr. I want to make 10k a month on hero. Last month was only 3.35kish. Thats unacceptable.

I'll push myself til I'm making 10k a month there or til spring comes, who cares either way.

Awesome that I have so many haters / fans / ppl in the middle

I love my lifestyle, I have fun, I'm a very stress free relaxed guy most the time, I play because I LOVE the game, you guys play to make sure you never lose a penny and grind out hours as a job.

I play because I make 3-20k a month (hero or stars) having fun, using new lines, constantly learning new games, having a blast at what I do.

You're guys understanding of me is like 25% right. You all take me serious on internet forums, which is really, really fucking stupid

Let me tell you one thing, I only post shit on here to stir things up, or when things go uber bad / uber good / when I'm helping or looking for help.

I post on here as a Joker for a reason, if I wanted, just as most of you insecure kids, I could only post life stuff or a tiny bit about poker, but what kind of fun is that? none, unless ur name is spets.

So, have a field day, I'll always be me, you guys can always be you.

Btw byrn - my dad has staked me for 1 mtt, HE wants to stake me for every fcking MTT, its not me thats asking him. He plays slot machines a ton, he loves to gamble, and taking small risks for huge returns on his son who has played tournaments for a living for years, isn't really a bad investment. I also pay back 25% of the buy-ins if I lose, to make it more worth his while, theres more stipulations, but thats no fun to talk about.

HAVE FUN!
Ryan

Still have $15,500 debt
Dad had to pay your rent
Had to borrow over $1000 from your parents
Dad had to stake you in a tournament
You wanted to punch a wall because you lost $400
Cant afford a new car after totalling the last one (again)
Bragging about having your rent paid a whole 2 months in advance
$600 Bankroll

UP OVER $100k THIS YEAR

Success at anything in life, is mostly and quite simply the result of sustained effort. You seem to have the motivation to put in very long hours and I believe that success at poker is almost inevitable when that's the case.

Clearly your decision making however is quite poor. I'm all for aggressive shot taking but there needs to be a method and a strictness to it, otherwise it becomes quite detrimental to your poker progress. If taking a shot and losing means you have to move down from your normal game then clearly the shot shouldn't have been taken. Clearly in this case you were just being a stupid fish.

Judging by the fact that your now trying to play NL cash instead of tournies (where your actually winning) id venture to guess that your starting to become a bit burnt out. Perhaps you should try and maximize your hourly rate/balance life a little more.

Your discipline seems to be almost zero when left to your own devices. Maybe your better off playing on a loan/stake with a set of rules, if you can't control yourself without there being consequences.

NL6 max is a very old game at this point, the players with decent winrates at 5/10 or even 1/2+ are not only good players but very well disciplined and comfortable at their stake. How exactly do you plan to beat them over a large sample with your current skill set/mentality?
