Gotta love how every adaptation has come to politics with fans, the game fans already started commenting about what they dont like and i imagine book guys will be even more annoying. Its an adaptation and u just saw a 1 minute teaser from it and already started complaining about skin cololr. At least wait for the first season to air lol, there is no adaptation that is 100% loyal to the books in the history of TV, why would u expect that this will be the one?
It's always the same though, people complain about people that read that books complaining, and later those same people adopt the same opinion e.g. GoT fans complaining during Season 5 that its still super good show blah blah and book readers should shut the fuck up, yet now that its over everyone is like "uhh they ruined the show from S5" - no fucking shit.
If they have to be politically correct over someone's color then they are most likely going to be politically correct about shit in the show which will essentially ruin it, cause the books are a literal fuckfest on many different levels
This is another great fantasy trilogy which is getting turned into series and looks promising. This one they have no other option but to ignore social norms and actually stay true to the books otherwise they'd have to rewrite everything.

Well some of the changes the writers are forced to do. I mean GoT was under attack at the beginning because of the lack of racial diversity in the main characters. Then the rape of Sansa happened and some women got offended that such scene was on screen(even some senator woman made statement). But Red Wedding was such a cool scene and nobody gave a fuck when a preggo woman got stabbed to death.
I imagine that if it was so easy to create an adaptation of a book written in polish by a polish author with slavic mythology so the world can enjoy it they would not have changed one bit from the text. But its not - this show is going to be distributed worldwide and you have to sell it so... they changed Yennefer and so on...
And dont start about GoT... its another story - im still salty :D
P.s Anyway The Witcher trailer looks good so far. Lets hope for the best.

This story should be told. The movie version (The Golden Compass) was subject of an attack by some Catholic religious civil rights league which scared Newline off from making more movies based on the other books.
"Atheism for kids" they say. And I don't know who the pope was during that time, probably Gollum, but he too with the Catholic church condemned the making of The Golden Compass.
