Path of Exile game

Been in beta for nearly a year (aug 11th) and have probably put in 1500-2000hours into this game, I fucking love it. Took 1st in 2 of the 3 Cut-throat events. Hardcore only since day 1.

The end-game "map" system is well executed and some of the combo are down right fucking insanely hard but oh so fun to do.

As for the passive tree you can get up to 111pts atm, but plan your builds around 70-75pts cause after that the leveling gets real slow. As for spell gems there are currently around 100 if I remember correctly and by open beta release they were aiming for 150-200skills.

If you're flat out racing it (keeping zone levels 2-3 above your level, skipping quests in bad zones) and have a real solid build and everything picked out you can do it maybe 24hours. For most people tho it's gonna be more like 40+ hours.

I played the beta for like 5-6 hours straight and it was fucking boring.

i haven't played this game, but it seems like a mix of D3 and that game would be the best. If D3 could just take some ideas from them....

D3 is very well made but it really needs cool game modes and stuff, because just farming gear over n over gets boring.

i haven't played path of exile, so i am not going to judge it, but i think its unfair to say D3 has NOTHING better than it.

I think you at least gotta admit D3 has better graphics.

I disagree on that one, I much prefer POE's graphics to D3's. D3 has more polygons, but fails to utilize them in a way to bring feeling and depth to the game in a way that POE does amazingly.

so how do i get a key? op said he bought at the site all i saw was random giving of betas

register an account and on the right of the menu bar @ the top of the site it will say something about join the beta or w/e. click that and you can buy a key ($10)

da fuq, suddenly got d/c, can't rejoin and their website isn't working neither. guess they're doing something.. wish I had ETA o_O?

i have to pay for a beta key?

Current ETA for open beta is mid/late Sept after getting pushed back from a late august eta due to them wanting more time to expand on the "map" system and pvp. Open beta will also include act 3 and all voice acting/story for the rest of the game.
