gay title lol

This is still in exploratory stage but Id feel more comfortable if I dealt with people here.

I'm planning on selling banana chips, powder, or even bananas and I'm looking for buyers or middlemen residing in countries who regularly consume or use these. I find it easier to deal with LPers (if any) since it's a lot better than dealing with random foreigners in B2b networks like alibaba and the like. As long as there is any sort of profit to be had for both parties I'm all up for it.

Facts:

- the philippines has a shitload of bananas and it's byproducts

- I can personally go to you in your location so talking to potential buyers will not be a problem for us. If it would help jumpstart things to fruition.

- I've had some business experience in importing goods, none yet in export but Im really dedicated in learning if there is money to be made.

- I live in a mostly agricultural region, the economy is run by agri based business, most particularly bananas

- The risk will mostly be on my end since i will be the one purchasing here. So as long as you don't get greedy with pricing and are resourceful enough to do local research, this definitely has potential.

- Banana chips, powder , flour is a very versatile commodity used in a very wide variety of ways e.g. ketchup, soap etc. Table bananas like cavendish obv are great to eat.

- Afaik developed asian countries and even arab countries import philippine bananas, with regards to banana flour/powder Im not too sure but I know some who have dealt in korea, malaysia

Like I said these are all plans for now, but I have some money to get this into motion eventually, for now I am still doing some research on suppliers/growers so this probably wont start till next year if ever. For now Im just looking if anyone within the respectable LPer circle, but not necessarily ballers.

We will start very small, but this is what I love doing and this can grow a decent rate as long as both of us are dedicated enough and obv dont get greedy, that being said I prefer dealing with someone within a community I know since it's damn tough doing it with a random guy (did that before and its just super stressful)

I dunno if doing this on the side is possible, but if you have a ton of free time and hang out at LP, you're probably smart enough to be reliable imo. Nothing to lose really.

I'm currently in the export/import business here in the U.S. as a "consultant". I think this is a very, very cool idea and if we could branch it off to different products I might be interested. I'm not sure who I would sell banana goods to here in my area.

Ofc since we're all stuck here anyway. Why not make good use of it lol

Us surplus goods sell here. Some even clear out warehouses there for cheap and send it here. I'm telling you there's tons of things out there as long as the community is tight. With bananas the main markets here are china and korea, the u.s. used to get from the phils but i guess shipment costs and turnaround time killed it eventually

If you can build a network and key in on what type of products you need I can find a way to supply it. I would also love to build up a business, the capital, and branch out to other areas of global trade. Let's talk...

Asian countries would be a lot easier because of the proximity, and asians love bananas and products.

I know there's a bunch of banana chips / sun dried banana chips in stores like Trader Joes along the East Coast of USA.

Chiquita has a monopoly on the banana market in the U.S.:

But anyways, the possibilities are endless. Obviously we would have to start with smaller commodities, build up the trust and the capital. We can do anything from circuit boards, used telecommunication equipment, used medical devises, cars, etc etc. I know that a ton of companies here in the U.S. are now relying on Asian countries other than China to produce their goods.

afaik chiquita bananas are owned by the floirendo family here in my city, theyve been running an entire supply chain operation for ages so im not surprised. bananas are not really that great for the U.S for small guys. since so many factors can fuck up entire shipments so id like to limit to processed banana products for now (flour/chips). and also limited to Asian countries or at the farthest, Saudi nations (which is the best from what i heard)

im still trying to think what U.S. stuff sells here and ill talk to you if i find something. just pm me where i can reach you.

My mate's scared of bananas. He actually runs away when he sees one. The theories as to the genesis of this phobia are legion and comedy. Ironically, he's a hard bastard otherwise.

Researchers used brain scans to show that when straight men looked at pictures of women in bikinis, areas of the brain that normally light up in anticipation of using tools, like spanners and screwdrivers, were activated.

We once trapped him in the pub by hanging a banana skin on every door handle at closing time. He stood in the middle, quaking slightly.

I don't know about chips and flour but you won't get bananas into Australia due to strict quarantine laws. When cyclone Yasi hit bananas here actually did go up to almost $15 a kilo. When that happened there was a call to relax quarantine and import but I remember reading that it would take something like 3 years to pass through the appropriate channels? I doubt the Australian Banana Growers Council would just let it happen though.

oh thats prob the reason i havent heard of aus importing bananas from here. its mostly saudi and other asian countries like japan, korea etc
