This won't change anything, these guys live for this "cloak and dagger/james bond/matrix" fantasy. If anything this will only embolden them in the future even more.

Again this pathetic attempt at an insult, you can call me whatever you want, not ignorant my general knowledge far exceeds yours my friend so pick another generic insult that one just shows how dumb you are.

You can know the names of four thousand birds my friend.

I lol'd at both bird comments.

That being said, I have no idea why people think this will end any 'internet revolution' - by the way, what fucking revolution was that? playstation down for a while? paypal down for 10 hrs, or whatever? some *s00pur K3WL" revolution...

But yeah, anyway - I agree with Whamm. I think 'hackers' like the cloak and dagger, mischievous idea of it all and if anything - this will embolden them more.

It did amaze me to see how people considered "top-notch leaders of the underground movement" converse though. Isn't calling each other script-kiddies and talking all that shit amateurish as shit?

Where are the real hackers? I'm thinking swordfish style

This struck me too at first, but then again I would guess being a big hacker figure doesn't have to go hand in hand with maturity and emotional stability.

Peace of mind cant be bought.

This dude wasn't a big hacker, he used a single exploit over and over again and was mocked by everyone constantly.

He literally attention whored his way to "fame".

The idea doesnt die, just the movement, but if we consider that this idea is almost as old as man itself....

- Sony lost hundreds of millions of dollars
- Paypal lost a shitload of accounts
- Go-Daddy lost hundreds of thousands of accounts overnight and had a huge impact in its stocks
- Straffor got shat on hard, they leaked really bad shit about the company and is now facing a lot of problems.
- Brazil took down almost every single government site for days
- Almost every country attacked government sites
- Countless amounts of personal data about corrupt police in multiple countres like Egypt, Ecuador, Mexico, Siria etc were released
- Wikileaks...

I can go on and on and on about this list, just because you didnt know about it it doesnt mean it didnt happen, you should be more informed maybe follow anonIRC on twitter to have an idea of whats going on.

-godaddy lost accounts due to SOPA thanks to a reddit campaign, not anonymous
-show damage from stratfor leaks?
-ddos=ripping down posters (as xkcd put it) not a big deal
-ditto ddos
-those branches of anon for countries are still around, plus what repercussions were there...virtually none?
-wikileaks gets the majority of it's info from whistleblowers, not anon

-170 mills for Sony is very small, 170 mill loss inflicted by some hackers its HUGE and one of the biggest hits done by hackers in history.
- Thanks to reddit? thanks to wikipedia, google etc and all the combined effort, effort started by Anon.
- ripping off government posters has a big morale impact, especially in Brazil it was brutal, most government sites were down for a long time
- Yes there were, they stopped SOPA in many european countries for example
- Wikileaks got its Stratfor leaks from Anon

No, an effort started by a specific selfpost on reddit that brought this to the attention of millions of people, many of which managed
massive domain portfolios. Wikipedia switched domain providers at a much, much later time.

"Wake up sheeple" STFU Baal. This is embarrassing.

Proof that the first anti-sopa post started on Reddit or stfu, and what is embarassing you moron, you replied to ONE point with an assertion with no sources and ignored the rest.. yeah what an embarassment... pathetic.

Yes, that is what I was asserting.

That the opposition to SOPA started on Reddit.

(No, I was actually asserting that the shame campaign of GoDaddy for their support of SOPA started on Reddit, which it did, which you said was false)

You really just don't get it do you? You post ridiculous shit about every single subject in the world and think you're never wrong,
like someone said in a previous thread here: "LOL Baal is dead wrong and just ignores it".

This is what you do, whether or not you realize it consciously or not is a different question all together, but I think it
would be mean of me, and this community as a whole, not to give you a reality check every once in a while.

So anyone is allowed to say retarded shit as long as they pile non-frivolous things in its immediate surroundings?
