I feel that you have a pretty strong superiority complex, probably caused by an inferiority complex that is even stronger.

Your goal when working out is to accomplish something productive. Your body is a machine, your mind is not. While you can beat your mind into submission by willing yourself to do certain things, your body cant be made to burn calories if you dont have the energy to expend them. Forcing yourself to run in the rain while you are tired might feel satisfying, but you arent accomplishing much. Nor is forcing yourself to workout after staying awake for 18 hours and you're dead tired.

Instead, plan your workouts and maximize your potential when you do. By the way, you mentioned you're on something like a 1300 cal diet and you try to burn 800 cal's. You realize the key to losing weight is to burn more calories than you intake. So if you're consuming 1300 per day, your goal should be 1500 or whatever. Unless you're already accounting for calories burned just by walking around and being awake for the day.

bye now

btw. what do you mean you're overachiever? do you think you deserve less for that amount of work you put in? or were you referring to some non-poker stuff/trying to be humble?

Nah, I mean't im just a nerdy asian kid whos tried very hard to do good in life. I.e graduated high honors from Sydney Uni, won scholarships and awards, good job pre poker, pro@ D3, war3, sc2, what ever games i played.

1300 calorie intake per day, is really dangerous low for you. You must have got this figure wrong? The average male will consume 3-4k per day. Considering your specs, 1300 is too low. 2300 sounds more like it. Also running with any injuries will severely effect your longterm EV, as you can damage yourself really bad that will prevent you from doing much running. So just cuz you have not did that run, dont over do it if you have serious pains. Running through them is seriously -EV.

Congrats on your achievement so far though

Nope 1300 calories everyday. Like someone mentioned I'm pretty small asian, and yea I started to get really bad shinsplints even though I bought really good shoes and soles for support so I started to swim 2km instead and also play a round of golf both of which are good calories burners.

Thanks for this. Really wanted to see if I could do it that stormy day.. But obviously I smartened up and had far better planning (I.e Exercise pre poker), but somedays when fish logged on highstakes I still went to run really late but when it comes down to it $$$ in poker >> Daily routine.

O and yes, ofcourse i know you have to burn more than you eat to lose weight and i also know just being awake and going by your day is a calorie burner.

Some parts of your post indicated the very opposite Sir.
I won't tell which ones, but I'm pretty sure you can figure this out given your superiority.

So what do you have a problem with?

Me being confident and proud of what i've accomplished?

You realised being good at something, i.e poker means im superior in it than other people right?

Anyway, last 2 points I have for you.

1. Im superior to you in more ways and inferior to you in less ways.
2. Haters are going to hate.

blablabla ill just ignore all other posts coz they is too many of them
Good job sir, however you should have informed yourself a bit before jumping into taking such drastic measures. Losing 15kgs in 3 months is extremely unhealthy for you and you've probably noticed how your skin streches .... The hard part isnt losing a couple of kgs but maintaining health ... Might take up to 2 years for your skin to recover as it should be because of what you did... Really shouldve thought about it. I've seen it happen - side effects are nasty

Brits aren't known for having athletic/muscular bodies, especially past 30 years old.

I'd watch what I eat if I were you, Chewits.

Yeah im not sure what people were saying. there was a time if I didnt eat under 1400 calories I would start to gain weight. Sometimes it would be muscle mass but my body metabolized food very oddly. When I worked out a ton I never ate over 2k calories. You can eat a lot of healthy and whole foods as well as filler foods. Ur crazy if you think a regular dude who doesn't work out 7 times a week needs or eats 3k calories. Your eating a ton of shit.

Hye wobbly what degree did u do at uni? What job did you get? And have you now completely given up on it and just play poker? Do you have a backup plan if poker somehow dies?

hola

wobbly_au   Australia. Jan 12 2012 04:29. Posts 6540

I did computer science advanced at Sydney uni, I was a risk consultant. And yes I've completely given up working in a corporation. If poker dies I'll likely start a company or just buy a bunch of real estate while I figure out what to do next.
