American poker pro Jason Koon is the latest player to join forces with partypoker and become a member of partypoker’s new advisory panel, formed from a community of highly respected players.
Koon, who has won over $10,000,000 on the live poker circuit and many millions more online, is one of the world’s most accomplished players. As well as playing an active role on the partypoker player panel, he will also sport the partypoker patch at live poker tournaments worldwide – including the forthcoming Caribbean Poker Party in Punta Cana.
The 32-year-old from rural West Virginia has been competing at the highest levels of poker for several years and achieved his biggest ever live cash in January this year for $1.6 million. During the summer he notched up numerous big scores – including two six-figure results within a week at the Aria in July. He has cashed more than 20 times this year alone and specializes in the highest buy-tournaments in the world plus a regular in nosebleed cash games.
With an MBA in finance, Koon was one of the first tournament players to adopt game theory into his play and credits his subsequent success to his disciplined approach. As well as representing partypoker at live events, Jason will also be playing online under the alias Jason_Koon.
partypoker’s player panel will facilitate detailed feedback sessions with the wider poker community and ensure players’ opinions are heard within the company. The initiative is part of partypoker’s strong commitment to stay close to the poker-playing community and make decisions which will be welcomed by players and have their best interests at heart.
Jason said: “partypoker is making some major moves to improve the entire poker ecosystem, both live and online, and I couldn't be more thrilled to be joining them and playing a part in these endeavors. Seeing partypoker’s hunger to grow – as well as its interest in what players have to say – was the main selling point for me and I'm excited to see what the future holds.”
