bet/fold is a massive spew.
bet/call is the best option - you can (semi)bluff many turn cards - board pairing, T,K. Shove Q/J for value.
I think id check/raise turn on A
check on 3 vs aggro's who stab,
check if you hit flush vs more aggressive players, otherwise bet small around 50% so river is also small shove.
Betting on cards that bring both flush and straight is probably better than checking. |

how can bet/fold be massive spew? its not like our hand has dominating equity vs anything that shoves on us. (we're at best 60% vs 8h7h6*) but are occasionally in bad shape when he has our flush draw dominated or flopped a set. needing about 40% to get it in here, i think bet/fold and bet/call are pretty close in ev but would lean towards bet/folding.

if we bet 15 into 24 we have left to call shove (73+15+ 12 pre = 100)
final pot is about 201
Equity required = 73/201 = 36.3%
We have about 40%
Equity surplus = ~4%
Each % translates (100bb deep) into 2bb
So EV = 4*2 = 8bb
OK I admit this is closer than I thought, but still considerably +EV play
I thought he'd have like 43% equity. |
