what tough spots... c/c turn makes it impossible for us to get outplayed (on the turn), and then check decide on river.

i dont think you can really think of it as not getting out played on turn just because you dont have to fold yet.

id probably c/c because i prefer checking turns and having a wider c/c and c/r range and 2 barreling less to fight floats better in general and also opens up a lot more bet/check/bet bluff lines in 3b pots. this hand is just more of an issue of how you generally tend to balance these spots and then just do that

i like check /calling here, i dunno about having a check raising range though. and i think if we have a check raising range then we must also use a bet/check/check line with this hand. Anyone that thinks we are capable of c/raising here will simply check their flush draws and queens on the turn and take the free card, then bet the river with that range. we must protect ourselves from being exploited here by checking the river with jX. i would probably never be checkraising any turn on this board for that reason.

Fuck I lost the hand and my Hem hasn't been working. I was under the impression that a bet and then decide river was best, we charge for draws and have some equity vs Qx or can decide to bluff river as well. I see how you can c/c there but it's so hard to also call the river with that line. This doesn't work so well just 100bb deep tho and I think then a c/c is better.

Anyways I ended up betting 1400$ on the turn, he called and the river was an offsuit 8 and I shoved 5400$~ on a 4800$ pot and he folded. Not sure about the river, I guess we could bluff out the worse Qs like QT or Q9, maybe KQ but not sure about that one. I also thought about a better Jx like KJhh or AJhh that will call turn but might fold river.

yes bet/check/check is of course fine too. i dont think you incorporated the amount of time villian has pure float which, in 3 handed vs good people, is a substantial enough occurance to have to incorporate fighting that into your play. if someones float style is call flop, check back turn and then bet when checked to on river then having a turn c/r raise makes less sense but that line for float is much less common

but if its like you say and if you are putting people in a position where they dont want to get three streets of value from top pair in a 3b pot when you are oop from them then i think you are probably doing something right anyways
