If you only have the best hand half the time then 50% of the time you lose $5.50 and 50% of the time you win $12 meaning a significant profit. When someone bets pot-size you need to be good 33% of the time to be profitable and he's a little under pot.
I never know if people value bet things like KQ in this spot or if thats way too thin. He could easily have AJ though and not many tens in his range.
