you don't play poker by following dogmatic philosophies you do it by trying to take the most +ev line in every situation. you said he's an aggro fish, if this means he's barreling his air on turn/river most or all of the time then flatting his flop raise like you did is best and it's not really close.

i agree with you that vs most aggrofish reraising flop would be better though.
