When it will be hard to play without the initiative, I donkbet. For example, I call A8ss in bb vs. btn opener, flop is 876dd. I will donk 100% because check-calling sucks and I will have to fold so many turns even if I still have the best hand.

Hands that have good equity but aren't strong enough to check-call, like inside + over(s). Inside + bdf, even if you don't hit, there are so many cards that will force your opponent to fold even if you don't hit. also donkbet straights and sets on drawy boards. I wouldn't always donk nut type hands, since you don't want to check-fold every time you check on drawy boards or be full of shit every time you check-raise flop either. But I prefer donking sets and straights on very connected boards, because people will check back so often and turn will bring a shit card for yourself.
