I know this is probably standard for higher levels, but this guy is a nit with 0 3bet stat over 150 hands. I think he only stacks off with KK and AA here (maybe QQ but obviously I hold 2 of them). He probably calls with AK but I doubt he bluffs it when he misses (maybe I'm misranging people here?).
So how do I escape this? do I just fold/flat pre? if I call do I just fold do a bet? do I then commit on later streets? Flatting also leaves me vulnerable if an A comes, especially if the original raiser comes along. Friend keeps saying he's too short I just get stacked here, but this seems like a pretty significant advantage to shorter stacks, how do I punish that? |

The major problem is that he has only 70 BB. So it's not really profitable to set mine here
Not sure why you 4bet if you know his range for 3 bet is only KK/AA..
You can cold call 3 bet and hope alek comes in as well and pray you hit a set, or just fold pre. Folding pre seems pretty nitty though. |

His 3bet range is probably wider than KK and AA, my 4bet was pretty small so he probably continues with JJ and AK but I don't think he bluffs AK if he misses. Now obviously I could be ranging people totally wrong but it feels like I'm always beat here against this guy. Question is can I try and check it to showdown? do I call a turn shove? should I be bet/shoving flop or just shoving pre?
Basically my read is telling me to check/fold and his stack size is telling me to stack off. If I play tight with 70 big blinds can I get people to fold QQ to me? if so why aren't I playing 70 BB? |
