the "500" bet is never a bluff
"480" might be, "496" might be, but from what I've seen no one bluffs "500"
the round number, one small chip bet just doens't look threatning |

i actually planned on snapping a overbet shove, so didnt even pay attention to the sizing. Is that a real theory with the betsizing? |

I have observed that over a lot of games, I guess people subconciously reduce the bet to 490ish to "save" some chips, or maybe put some more as in 520, 540 to "look stronger", but they dont realise it
Its just what I concluded from my observations tho, and mostly on HUsngs with 1500 starting chips, but in those I think the specific "500" bet is 99% of the time value
ofc it may vary depending on villains
You should try to pay closer attention to that and see what can you pick up imo |

lol i bet for value like $490, and bluff $520. For the same reasoning that people sell shit for $4.95 at supermarkets i guess. Makes it look cheaper and more attractive to call. |
