I wouldn't fold either.

I think it's insane to assume you have FE after he puts half his stack in like this.

i mean... its a premium hand but if he's not confident to throw out more than a 1/2 sized cont bet i felt that he might be able to let it go

given stacks, his cbet seems perfectly fine on such a dry board.

heh trying to justify me pushing over an unmade hand i guess

BiNK   United States. Jan 25 2011 01:49. Posts 302

its rush poker and we both have 4 entries...it just seemed that with an actual pocket pair and not just AK hi (through playing multiple pots with him) he'd just straight push this flop

wobbly_au   Australia. Jan 25 2011 01:51. Posts 6540

yea coz with AK high he can under bet the pot to make u go all in here. when ur range is [AIR]

so it looks like you knew he had AK

why did you shove again?

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

if he was obligated to call from not being so deep i outplayed myself

sunnysky7   . Jan 25 2011 02:02. Posts 1549

lets say 200bb deep u still shove him in this situation ?

come on its result oriented , he had AK this hand doesnt mean he would have AK always after he 4betting

or u read that 4bet 35bb means AK , 25bb means AA-KK ?

op should post more hands imo it's kind of insightful to learn the thought process of people who do stuff like this

op - thought process on flatting the 4bet pre?

tbh some fish in NL10 rush would 3b TT BTN vs UTG and cold call 4b , so yea thats possible they really have a hand lol

but i mean "fishes" , the poster and villain should be 4 seats reg at least

and wobbly the more and more i play rush it seems that the game is won in the blinds co and button of simple stealing and restealing so this is why i called with air in hope i could try to push him off AK/AQ... i take your point of not being deep enough though so thanks, there is no chance this guy calls deeper though

YoMeR   United States. Jan 25 2011 02:12. Posts 12435

no the game is not won with just blind stealing and restealing.

a big part of the game, sure. but definitely not everything.

not trolling, just think it's interesting because at these stakes a lot of times you see people do bizarre stuff like this that makes no sense and you wonder what they could possibly be thinking. for example:

"i mean... its a premium hand but if he's not confident to throw out more than a 1/2 sized cont bet i felt that he might be able to let it go"

it seems really obvious as jolin said that betting more than 1/2 pot on this board with any hand seems silly given how much is in the pot. so it's interesting to me that you would think like this.

just like it's interesting you think anyone is ever bet-folding A-hi given the size of the pot

u should understand everyone have hud nowadays and they can analyze u ezily when the hh told him a lot
thats why him 4bet AK totally for value , like i mean u probably resteal too often that ur 3b in BB and SB data would looks like > 20%
and if u never fold to 4betting that data would show , u know what I mean?
I played nl10 rush and I am not a big fan to committ AK pfr in this game just bcuz I know its full of nits and even its 6-max AK still not so good compared to normal table
but someone like u resteal too often that data would tell me the story too

--
like ur purpose was resteal 3bb with hopeless hand
now u have to resteal 40 times and 100% sucessed
nowadays I know nl10 ppl more aggressive vs steal , but like this its too over imo
and ppl would start 4bet air to play back if he have read about u , if u prepare to cold call every 4bet or shove every hands after u 3bet then keep doing

first off. his 4bet sizing is ridiculously committing. just fold pf. Your resteal failed, you dont have to win every pot.
