I always bet, anything, $5 even, so you give him a chance to check raise, when i'm in a pot with a large hand i never check back unless i have quads or better. What if he has AcJc, he might get it in on the turn but not when the river comes another diamond  |

He's an LPer fwiw. So he will know you and probably know that shoving the river here as a bluff makes little sense after checking turn......but then again your hand is so under-repped he may think you can't have anything that can call. |

i'm wondering why you didn't just shove pf unless you guys got a sick fast dynamic going. he's repping a hand and he's not gonna fold his entire value range to a shove after 4 betting pf. but he will fold his 99-KK on an A hi board or his AQ/AK on low flops. you'll get the max value from his entire value range by shoving pre. |

i dont mind flat the 4bet pre if u think hes bluffing coz hes gonna try hard postflop to ship u money anyway and you have position. as played i just bet turn very small and obv calling/shoving any river |
