I would appreciate some comments on this play, especially from rekrul, cuz he inspired me to make that move.

I don't agree, but doesn't mean it's the wrong play.

You're a 2:1 dog here and considering stack sizes it doesn't seem to be a +EV play.

I could be wrong though! Lets see what the others have to say.

going broke in an unraised pot with a flush draw gg

I don't like it. There's not enough money in the pot to try and take it down on the flop. Sure, you've got outs. But most of the time, facing an overbet like that, only a much better hand is going to call -- flush or set -- against which your outs don't mean enough to justify the push. Sophisticated players, given pot size and stack sizes, are probably going to view this as a semi-bluff just like it is.

Its not a bad play if u put this guy on Ax. But risk reward is really bad here.. I tried a similar play the other guy and ran into a big hand too.

of course he has. it's just bad timing the other guy had the flush already. but we don't know that.

i think the play is fine, even tough he showed some strength by reraising.

There is no fold equity at this limit.
+ he is going into an unraised pot, which is not worth his time in the first place.
best line here is to take a shot at the pot, and since he got reraised, he should fold.

terrible play

end of story

fold the flop

it's an easy hand to make a mistake like that on but

never fight like that for an unraised pot

Definately a -EV play. He would raise you that strong when he has nothing to protect...He definately has a made hand already.

Ok, I usually would have folded but I did it as an experiment. Thanks for all comments, Travis' one settled it.

yeah never fight for unraised pots, especially when theres an ace there, pair of aces = nuts in donkland + theres the chance your up against trips/made flush, in an unrasied pot with this play your only getting action from hand that > yours
