He was prolly plugging the maths in his poker tree calculation bot to see if the pot odds for calling is correct by comparing the ratio of bluffs to value hands given this hand's action.

You can't say it's too thin unless you know the player

if he's tanking this river then it's doubtful he'd be calling off a shove with the A6o that he'd have to be playing here for this not to be a check

dont think i've ever seen someone 3bet A6o here, that would be a pretty big preflop mistake. it's all Ax suited, and maybe AJo that didnt want to flat.

i have no idea why do you have to pollute this thread with your 2008 knowledge and your limped dick waving
since i dont really care if you are actually winning money on some obscure monkey network, here are some facts: you are decent loser at nl500 and break even at nl200 over 500k hands, 400k respectively, ie you are bashing me for playing stakes you cant even beat yourself. whats your endgame man?

Fayth    Canada. Feb 22 2016 03:06. Posts 10085

yeah I ran 100 bi under ev in 2014, still made more money than you probably, and given I beat 500zoom for a decent clip in 2015, discounting the obscure sites so to speak

I mean cmon man.... jealousy is so unhealthy

also if you don't study at all and just play ur little nitty game you shouldn't talk about 2008 knowledge or w/e bullshit... if you want to keep on embarassing yourself go right ahead

you could never get past 2/4 by bumhunting 6max hard, does playing long sessions vs Kanu HU counts as bumhunting?

seriously, know your place buddy, just because you never made it in poker doesn't mean you should take it out on everyone who did

anyway I'm done I guess, you clearly haven't worked on your game in a long time and that shows through your comments, also you are clearly extremely insecure, I'll let you grieve now

Not sure if the too thin camp is trolling, but If you guys aren't value shoving this river what hands are you betting 3 times? Must be really boring running in those poker shoes. First 2 barrels super std and river is pretty easy spot. You'll get heroes calling you with 88 JT KK QQ JJ AX all day here. And if they're not heroing those very often then you're prob playing too straightforward in 3b pots.

Not sure how up to date with nitmax you are? Why would any villian c/c down 3barrels with those hands? That almost never happens and is extremely non-standard, 88/JJ are pretty standard flats vs utg+1 as well so you are giving a pretty generous range there.

People are only calling down 3barrels when they are trapping, or the occasional hero call with Ax suited. I think sometimes a good villain would take a nonstandard line with AK as well since just 3barreling it is a somewhat breakeven play imo. (I wouldn't actually 3bet AK anyway, i think it's better to flat it pre.)

In my view i wouldn't mind actually check back the flop with AQ, then fire two barrels.

I will enjoy crushing players if they just fire out AQ+ 3barrels into me It's quite exploitable.

livin' de nit lyfe.

keen to see if andrewsong has a more than two word analysis or if he agrees with any of this since he's crushing the high steaks.

I think the 3barrel is a very 'breakeven' line to take against the standard 4zoom autopilot reg. we should play the hand differently to make profit.

this is so wrong on so many levels, folding anything but 2p+ to the said 3barrels is obviously exploitable though

with no history checking is pretty default. Ranges are just too tight from these positions to value shove aq imo.

EvilSky    Czech Republic. Feb 22 2016 23:10. Posts 8915

I guess we can be a bit results oriented here since he tanked a hand this strong. But it feels kinda meh b/b/c here, maybe if we want 2 streets b/c/b is better here then?

fira   United States. Feb 23 2016 05:05. Posts 6345

because of the 9 on the turn, i'm checking back river. just not enough missed draws in my river range to justify shoving AQ here. what we get called by, just some AJs really. KK/QQ/JJ all block missed draws (KQ/KJ/QJ/rando hearts our only bluffz after 98 J8 86 96 J9 all get somewhere by turn)

Agree with everything besides flatting preflop with AK. If we are flatting AK pre, Hero should be value betting with AQ. But if we assume villain is decent reg with well mapped out preflop game, we should fold AJ to hero's river bet and bluff catch with A8s, A5s, AK etc making hero's bet terrible as Axs should be very small part of our 3bet range.
