Alright guys, so after a long poker hiatus, I have decided it's time to move to another country. Canada is out of the question because it's too damn cold. I've settled on Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I already know some poker players who are currently living there and say it's fine and safe. However I was wondering if anybody has been there recently, or maybe some Mexican LPers who know it for its reputation, and I guess I just want some reassurance that I won't get decapitated or something rofl. Please post in here if you've been there specifically or have heard things specifically, even if it's something short like "ya it's safe" or "Don't go you'll die."

cabo is not by any means a dangerous city, the violence that is happening in Mexico is only in cities that are in the routes to get to US from sinaloa bassicaly, so you're safe, actually cabo is like a little US town.
Good choice if you have money already cause Cabo is expensive as fuck.
And no, you will not die there. Cabo is one of the safest cities

nah dude Cabo is a good spot(safe), but if your on a budget(not ballin) then maybe you should try La Paz, Baja California Sur(the capital of the mexican state)it's only 1 hour and 45 minutes away from Cabo A LOT cheaper and it's also near the beach. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Paz,_Baja_California_Sur

Thanks everyone for the responses, definitely taking em all into consideration ... Ben, man, I've been in Vegas for a year and we haven't even gotten a chance to kick it! I'm leaving in like 5 weeks
