So yesturday I started my daily poker session and about 4 hours in I was up $11,000. I felt extremely tired as I had been playing 8 hours a day of poker since September 1st. I decided to go down stairs and get some mouth ulcer medecine, thats when I noticed a new spa centre which looked really grand, I had heard about a 50% new trial promotion they had going so I decided to reward my self for my hard work.

When I walked into this place it was amazing, the decor was like an arabian palace, and about 12 young women greeted me with perfect smiles, I was absolutely in awe. They sat me down and poured me tea, explaning to me what they did and how much they charged... Let me tell you the fee wasnt cheap... For those people that dont know me very well, I actually live a fairly normal life, other than good food and presents for my sister and girlfriend I dont really buy anything for my self. I am still wearing a shirt I got as a present 4 years ago, I have a very limited wardrobe, dont own a car or have anything thats worth 2k+.. After learning the price of there services which was 400usd$/hour I wanted to jet the hell out of there, but I had been so tired and stressed I decided for this off occassion to pamper my self.

The room they lead me to was also quite amazing, it had a massive bath, shower, scented candles and fresh towels everything you'd expect for the price im paying. When the two Masseuse started I was in heaven.. So this got me thinking, if I wanted to be able to come back anytime I wanted and not feel a pinch then I need to work harder and smarter and Improve my game and make more money. So afterwards I went and bought a notepad and started brainstorming somethings I would do to imrprove my poker.

So far I've got three areas I'm gonna work on.

1. My actual poker game, which I won't devulge details about because they are too sensitive.

2. My conditions of play, no more tv shows, no chatting, using tiled tables instead of cascade, setting up a better hud, getting table ninja.

3. My life balance, exercising more, eating less meat, stretching every hour during play, playing more golf/guitar.

I'm gna make one change a day and today I'm gna modify my hud so it isnt the useless default one.

@ thumbz. I am chubby, actually you could maybe even call me fat so that amongst other minor problems im gna just cut it down maybe 50%. Dont get me wrong, i will never become a vegan

@ bryne this place doesnt roll like that, but if i offered enough, the girls might have done it.

@Thehuhu3 I had a pretty tough childhood, i have alot of insecurities with money, so i like to hoard it.

instead of cutting weight, have u tought about ur eating habits .

For example a bad habit is : getting up no breakfast , 2-4h later u eat lunch , 5-6h later u eat dinner , +3h u eat snacks.

Good example, u eat breakfast, u eat lunch , u eat dinner , and stop eating .

Should u still feel hungry at night eat something protein rich and not carbrich.

Also if u run in the morning before breakfast , that' d b awesome :o

Tile or cascade is really here nor there. Cascade allows to focus on one hand at a time as no other room will pop-up, while tile you can see that your action is needed elsewhere which can sometimes distract, matter of preference really. I reckon cascade is actually better for mass tabling.

If you're going to stop chatting, turn off MSN imo (but then you'll have no one to whine to)

Not sure but might interest you, awhile ago I read that some food types made more pathways open for your neurons, to think deeper and in more directions, and some "doze" them off, making you think less. Like diary products, so forth, hinders your thinking, while others open more.

I'm guessing, for improving in poker, you want more.

Its just plain smart to be a money nit (unless you have an absolutely secured economic future), but also be able to spend and spend hard on things you really enjoy for example i am sure i spend less than you and live quite a modest life despise being able to spew money around however in the things i like, for example rallying i spend a lot of money in that, i think thats a healthy way to use money.

i was thinking before that if I increase my living expenses, by treating myself more often, I might become more motivated when it comes to poker. interesting that it's working for you ;o

Read some stuff on low carbo diets and you'll be fine in no time. I managed to drop 15kg in a little over 3 months and, believe me, I ate regularly without starving myself. There were no side effects and no yo-yo effect.

I've tried a no carb diet.. it doesnt cut it with out exercise imoo
