Which monitor should I buy?

So I need a new computer monitor and I don't know very much about monitor specs/prices so if you want to help me out I would appreciate it.

I am debating between these 2 atm..

23.6" Asus - $169 with $10 mail in rebate for a total of $159

or

23" Acer - $139.99

I think I am going with the Asus. Is this a good deal and is there anything I am missing? Thanks

Not sure, both give same res tho. Anyone know anything about the contrast ratios? One is ACM and the other ACSR..:o

Are the speakers on it of any value? Will they work with just an HDMI cable?

there are other deals i guess you have to search? i buyed it for 222,€ in local shop, i dont have a HDMI cable and i dont use the speakers because i have a speakerset but can assure its a populair monitor and it was a better/brighter monitor then the more 27" samsung wich was way more expensive.

size diffrent 27" -> 22"

in this prize range id go for http://www.techhypermart.com/lg-e2350t-pn-23-led-lcd-monitor-d-sub-dvi-hdcp.html because it has led backlight. i ordered this one a couple days ago, but dont have it yet
however, id recommend going for something like this http://ts.fujitsu.com/products/displays/p_line/p27t-6-ips.html - 2560x1440 is great for pokering and it costs nowhere near as much as 30" lcds

LED backlight means that the screen is lit by LEDs instead of by traditional lamps. It should provide better, brighter colors and the light should be distributed more evenly. Such lcds also use considerably less power. If it is worth the money..dont know, it depends on what price you can get

Why dont you just get (2) 42inch LED's and call it a day. Oh + Wall Mounts.

ive just got the LG led lcd and the colors look super gooooood, definitely recommend LED, but i would still try to find one that doesnt cost much more than the avarage non-led
