I don't live in Van city so I don't know much about that area. General things about Van city I do know are however that its weather is one of the nicest in all of Canada throughout the year. It apparently rains a lot, but overall it's good I hear. And because of that, there are a lot of rich people choose to go to Vancouver over Toronto.

Generally speaking, the cost of living will be higher there than Eastern provinces.

Drug scene in Vancouver is pretty crazy, one of the worst of all of North America. The ghettos of Van city is no joke. Check out "Streets of Plenty" when you can. Here's episode 1, rest are on YouTube:

Yomer, your obviously english so I won't suggest Québec but it is a very nice place believe me on this. Lot of poker around, laws aren't severe, not too hard to get drugs and relatively low homeless/annoying fucks, at least in québec city. but if you want any help or anything I'm from there.

I don't know two shits about immigration law, but I'm going to just go ahead and try to bring up an idea cause it doesn't hurt to do so.

I thought that you could try to think of some business that imports something from the place you live in Oregon to Vancouver. Really all you'd have to do is break even since your moving primarily to make money from poker. But based on your cell phone business you were starting up you seem interested in entrepreneurship as it is already...and fail/succeed you'd be learning a new "game" that you could play for 50+ years. And if its profitable it'd be so awesome since you might even have opportunity to go back to Oregon to visit family and what not.

Again, I don't know shit about this. But I hope the best for you, glgl.
