So I've been trying to deposit money to pokerstars, but I'm afraid of the reaction that I'll receive from my parents when they see that I'm gambling online.
I tried to find an alternative way such as using a prepaid debit card, but unfortunately pokerstars doesn't accept them.
Now all I'm left is by depositing money by using instant echecks. My question is (I've never used an instant echeck before): will this leave a sign of where I deposited the money under my bank account?

I'd like to keep this blog as relevant and straightforward as possible.
But because it's inevitable that I need to present a good reason as to why I am asking in the first place, I guess I'll make this simple: I'm 18, and my parents are strictly against gambling. |

echecks should be fine. It comes right out of your bank account. Now if your parents control your bank account you've got another problem to worry about. |

If you are 18, why are your parents able to see your bank account?
Perhaps make a seperate bank account at another bank? |

I'm not sure e-checks work for anyone in the US since UIGEA went into effect last year. If it does work for you, the transaction won't show up as Pokerstars anyway -- it'll be a payment processor with a generic name like Global Transactions Inc. or some shit. |

Wrong on every account. BTW echeck deposits from stars show up as ***** now and FTP shows up as ******.

I'll just say "any of the major U.S. Banks". Supposedly mentioning their specific names would be a bad idea to prevent them from figuring out how transactions are clearing. |

To your question; no, it doesn't leave a huge mark. It doesn't say, "funds transferred to Stars, job welldoen raising a gambling degen son you terrible, terrible parents hahahhahahah" on your statement. It would just say like.. "MISC PAYMENT - eCHK xxxxxxxxxx". But if your parents are curious and they inquire about it to the bank, I'm sure they would find out where the funds went. |
