Poker can be gift to some people and also a curse. Addiction to gambling ruins many peoples lives. Ironically, this addiction made me very rich. Despite my financial gain, i am in worse in other aspects of life. Money might have solved my life pressing problems, but it didn't give me direction. It also gave me too much free time. When I realized the limits in my ceiling of success in poker, my addiction became long gone. Now when I wake up, I don't have the urge to grind. This year could have been my biggest year to date but now I am behind pace due to lack of play past few month. I no longer receive endless texts/calls inviting me to play in a private game. If this was a year ago, that wouldn't have been a problem since I had the drive and motivation to chase those games on my own.

Past 2 month I've been away from poker and I realized too much has changed. Looking back to 6years ago, I used to think if I had alot of money and free time, my life would be perfect. Oh man I was wrong. Poker lifestyle can be so solitary whether you're retired or not. Sure, it's pretty rough when you're on the grind, lose $20,000 in one night, and have no1 that could afford to get a drink or two because they're all asleep getting ready for school or work. It hits you even harder when you have too much free time and only people that you can hit up mid week are you're baller friends from fantasy world called poker.

Life of a successful poker player can be a huge joke. You have too much time. Too lazy. Too much money but never enough to set ur self up for rest of ur life. I'll be using my remainder of the year to find fun things to do in my free time. Hopefully hire a PA to hire a personal assistant I'm also looking forward to sweat some of you in my free time. 60minute sweat on teamviewer/skype no strings attached. I also want to note that I have no desire to be your long-term coach.

If interested, leave your stakes/game/poker background and I'll pick whoever that interests me.

And the sweat session would be awesome, I have one on my to-do list and to have it with a sicko like you would rock.

Stakes: NL50/NL100
Game: 6 Max/ Some HU / live donkaments here and there
Poker background: Took the game seriously for 3 months, got a job for over a year with poker as one of hobbies, picked up serious pokering 2 months ago.
I can guarantee you will not be bored and will experience some epic FPS as I split playing and learning/analysing hands in about 1:1 ratio if not more since I restarted my 'career' couple months ago.
But don't take my word for it, just check the hands and threads I posted!

be glad you're in this spot with a decent amount of money. imagine feeling the exact same way and you're stuck in like micro or lowstakes. just be glad and buy your way out of this life rut you're in.

stakes: 1/2 atm
game: 6max
background: used to be a reg at 2/4 and 3/6 (small winner tho), then went on student exchange to hong kong where i probably played 10k hands in over a year because of nonstop drinking partying travelling etc. trying to get back into the game now, doing ok/good on 1/2 but still a bit scared of 2/4

hi andrew , think i've sent you a msg in the past that im interested in your plays etc.

Im playing nl100 and nl200 on stars and on some eurodonk site.
6m and some fr when tables are good.
Been playing online for over a year now , profits around 25k E overall current br 15k E , looking forward to decide if poker the thing to do for me or not.
I dropped of my studies for various reason at uni , and im possibly heading to NewJersey next year to work there at my uncle's business.
I also play on some random clubs here in Greece , many of them are super juicy still lack the knowledge to be confident about my game there and sometimes i even avoid them...
been watching some vids in bfp also.

I'm thinking about quitting school right now because I'm not really into it, I don't give a shit about exams and stuff and could devote all of my time to poker. But I know that if I quit I wouldn't have much to do besides poker and it would bore me sooner or later. I'm going to take a year off anyway so I guess the best thing to do would be to finish this year of uni and continue after the one-year break. Still not sure what I should do...

When people ask: What nationality is this guy raking in all the pots? The answer invariably comes back Poland, Poland. Again and again - Karma

After having just made up to $100 carefully and painstakingly grinding my way up in NL2 from the $5 I originally got from pokerstars (took me 100k hands), I lost half of my bankroll in one day playing NL5. Moved back town, gonna try again.

May I take you up on this offer when I finally reach NL25?

Hey Andrew,

Stakes: NL50/NL100 FR @ Stars

Poker background: I was a sng/mtt player until i finished uni november last year. I decided to full time in 2010 to chase for SNE, but instead of going for the mid/high stakes sngs i switched to the low/mid stakes cash games for the lower varience. I think i've learned a lil bit but im still full of leaks. Managed to break even at the tables all year until the last couple of months where i keep throwing buy ins to every one : Never had a coach but im thinking in hire one. im afraid of spending lots of cash and dont get good coaching. It would be a very nice 1st experience if u pick me.

Just a suggestion, try volunteering for something you believe in or something that is even slightly interesting to you, I think you might find that more fulfilling than just occupying your free time with something "fun"

im playing the sunday tournaments today, i know you play cash but i'd like to hear what you say anyway
do you think you might just be thinking that the grass is greener on the other side but really isnt? cause throughout my life i always thought this and as soon as i get to that new patch of grass my mind instantly thinks its greener somewhere else including the place i just came from
sure life isn't perfect and it never will be except one time i experience euphoria where i thought i was where i was supposed to be and was completely physically exhausted at the same time.
because u became successful as a poker player, life isn't perfect if you become a rock star either, nirvana dude blew his head off. chris farley was doing cocaine and shit, not saying its wrong to do cocaine, just saying.
but still being able to choose the hours u work and easier job is better than putting in 8 hours of real work just to survive is not better than having too much money and too much free time.. lol

aim = serenitysir
give me a msg if u wanna teamviewer

go to sleep early
wake up early
play in the day
stop for the night
do something with friends the night
go to bed early
repeat
you just need to have the same ''work'' hours than your friends/normal people

If you have too much spare time maybe you aren't fighting people on the internet enough?

25nl player/ used to be crushing 50nl but stopped grinding due to laziness and having way much money to spend for a 18 yo in Bulgaria so that crushed my bankroll in 2 months
Now im regrinding and im having some serious issues which i cant seem to figure how to deal with myself
Playing serious now as im aiming to finance myself through poker so doing 50k hands ++ per month
Also playing on euro site, have everything needed for coaching sessions --> meaning skype, teamviewer, mikogo, mic, cant think of something else

I would be more than greatful even for just 1 session since im sure you ll teach me enormous amount of stuff
