ok i played this game for about a week straight with rare breaks in between. i have no exp whatsoever with dota so i started out with no stats games and then played some official games, randomed a hero every time to get a feel for the game, read the guides, watched games from honcast and basically... i'm sick and tired of feeding, failing, and having no clue whatsoever in general lol.
would anybody be willing to be my buddy and help a fellow lper get started properly? it's such a shame asking for this because i noticed an inordinate amount of hatred toward new players in this game. so much so that i myself have a ridiculously hard time not bashing on someone who seems worse than i am. but i mean.. lpers stick together, right?
ps. damn you bemannerpenner for sending me a beta key this shit is addicting

what times do you play, im not great but i am knowledgeable. and i play with noobs all day anyways, since most the TL dota people are playing sc2 with the occasional lapse.

ok so here is the deal. the dota community are all major elitist and hate new players. Besides that the game is soo fucking complicated to just pick up and be good i feel your pain. I just recently after playing for a while started to not suck. I have also watched honcast and play with lots of great players so now have a great feel and understanding for the game. my roomate is also suppper good at the game. Anyways if you want to shoot me a pm we can chat about it if you have any specific questions. i would just suggest to maybe play bp or bd and try really hard to learn a few heros first. |

to be fair the hate on newbies is generally because everyone thinks they are really fucking good
imagine if the fish at your tables berated you constantly, were on your team 4/9ths of the time, and didnt give you money
