Bought a Laptop!

3,5 hours at default setting... without doing anything! good job!
mine cost about 300 less and ive a battery life of 6-7 hours while listening to music, surfing via hspa (which is not included in the 3,5hours).

Comes with 2 batteries btw. Talked to a tech guy at Staples (office supply store), he didn't have any Sony's in but said that they're the best in terms of quality as every other brand, besides Toshiba, pulls from bargain bins and considering the economic downturn, even moreso lately. Windows 7 Dell, HP, Acer (EMachines), etc. are already coming back with problems and have a lifespan of +/- 18-24 months. You get what you pay for. For $479, you probably have an AMD Acer with 3GB DDR2 and no video card.

nope i got a high quality samsung (which is in my opinion in terms of quality the best brand (tested acer, dell, hp, sony)) notebook where I can do all my office stuff + pokering!

btw, i didnt meant to diss. but i dont get how a brand like sony can even advertise it that way saying in default 3,5hours. i mean this is not even close to be good!

The tech guy I talked to said the same thing about Lenovo. I actually trusted him because he wasn't selling any of the laptops he was recommending.
