I'm up over 20k in live poker in very limited sessions (mostly at Salamanca casino in Salamanca NY, I've wanted to go to Las Vegas for over a year now, and I have nothing else going on in my life, and I wanna go out to some fun clubs in vegas (here we only have small bars, where we can get shitfaced, but theres never a tiesto or paul van dyke showing up here, or tool, or great headline bands that host amazing shows.

Its time to go to Vegas.

I'll grind 1/2 during the daytime and nighttime of most weeks (some 2/5 if I win $500 at 1/2 and feel like freerolling 2/5, but if I lose that bi on 2/5 I will move back down to 1/2. (Also wanna play atleast once deep at the wynn with like $600-1.2k on the table or something ridiculous and just steamroll the table into submission (u know how we rollz), and I wanna know where the fishiest casinos are as well, although I'm sure I'll pick them out)

I moved to my current town 10 months ago, and don't know many people, and hardly ever get to go do anything fun.

I don't mind cashing out 3-4k and leaving myself a Nl25-50 bankroll online and going to vegas.

I for one, have learned to not believe in ever "taking shots", I wasted a year of my life on this, but tbh, there comes a time when its time to go out there and see what I got, and do what I gotta do. I can start at 1/2, I have no responsibilities holding me down here, and my roommate told me that I only have to pay him $200 a month when I'm not here.

For live play, 20bi is more than enough, and if I run and play well, I'll move up every 20 bi, (10k for 2/5, 20k for 5/10, 40k for 10/20, 100k for 25/50 etc)

Theres a hotel at the end of the Vegas strip for $29.99 a night, the hotels actually really nice (was recommended to me by a millionaire), I know this isn't balla, and I don't give a shit, its suitable for what I'm going with and is less than 1/7 of a bi a night. (1 bi a week to stay there is pretty sick)

Who knows, I could win a lot in Vegas, and if I lose, then who gives a shit, I still have a roll to play on, and if I'm break even, I'll probably stay and keep playing.

Don't you guys ever just wanna go do something spontaneously?

Hey, wish me luck, you know I'd wish everyone of you luck.

Cashing out $3,922 now, ontop of my last cashouts of $650, $155, $92, $155, that adds up to $4,927 for the trip. (I'm driving so I don't have to take a taxi everywhere...although that may not be the best idea, its great because I only have to spend $30 on a hotel room instead of $100-$300, and I would love to stay in vegas for a long while)

I'll still be grinding online at NL50 6m / NL50 HU and some MTT's that I'm staked for, I also have a lot of FPP saved up that I'm going to use for tournament days.

Oh, tomorrows sunday, weeeeeeee!

GL LP,
Ryan

I'll do my best, I'll have to put $300 to the side *hide it in my car or something*, just incase i were to lose 20bi at 1/2 (which I think would be hard, but not impossible, although I do expect to do well, I mean, I have played a ton of cash in my life, and most the players there should be way softer than most nl25 online players)

Hmm, I think it sounds very nice and I do have that feeling from time to time to do something random and spontaneous... I am not coming to Vegas since I am not even 21 yet but I am considering doing some small trips (no big time balla here) this March/April myself and maybe visit some people from around here during the summer since I'm just in between a university switch and got massive amounts of time atm.

I wish you the best of luck in Vegas and hope you do very well. I don't have any experience with live play so can't really say anything about that though.

NeillyJQ - Could you please keep your blog while you play in LV ? I wanted to go to LV in half a year after I finish school. I wanted to stay there for 2-3 months maybe - just grinding. If that would be successful I would fly to South Korea to study Korean for couple months and play a bit online there.

Anyways, I wonder how the games in Vegas are. I have a some live experience, however I play SNG's moslty online, and some MTT - as for cash I beat NL50 only, never tried higher actually. I would appreciate A LOT some insight on how the games are there.

do u live close to the strip/many casinos?

maybe, we'll see, after long sessions w/ tons of ppl i usually enjoy privacy, although ameneties of a house or apt are almost always > than a hotel

Arent there only like a couple of casino's in vegas that offer 1/2? Better ask around so you can book your stay near those. I dunno, some coworker told me theyre mostly 5/10 and up or something.

bye now
