Since i obviously can't control my tilt, I've implemented the restrict limit to nl25.

now i can only play nl25, which i already can beat at a reasonable pace. So after busting my roll, I deposited 500 with the 25% bonus in hopes of a better future.

heres a graph for today, i got a sick heater in the last 1k hands going up 8 BI for the day. ajaja fighting!

Always remeber

Doenst matter if u can beat the game skill wise when u lack self control !

Its a hard lession i just recently learned after being like u were the last weeks myself for almost 2 years ....
And never ever forget !
ure big mistakes in the past may even negativly affect your future !

The money u tilt away is gone !
Its not like u can just reload like in a video game and all is fine again.

So 3 things are most important

1.) Never play underrolled ! < 20 BI = move limit down !
doesnt matter if u can beat the limit. When ure underolled variance > your skill -> u dont have any control over results with a small bankroll

2.) When u run bad and allready lost 3-4BI and feel angry -> insta stop the session and take at least 2h break. ( otherwise welcome to nice -10 BI days ...)

3.) If u totally run like apeshit on 1 site for longer than 10 dayz -> withdraw your roll and restart at another site ! ( I personally switch from FTP to Pokerstars and back from time to time)

I say u that cause i went all the way down from :Shooting Nl200 with 5,5K roll end of August 2008 -> Nl10 280$ roll myself 2008-10-29

Now its almost 4 month laterz and i still have not completely recovered !
And believe me i have gone thorugh a very hard time with great negative RL affects just cause i didnt follow Rule 1-3 while i was sure i beat the limits i play
I have 4,8K now atm ..... in February 2009

could be well up over 10K if i follwed the 3 rules above

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 19/02/2009 05:54

PplusAd soooooo true - I have very similar story ... In August 2008 I was taking shoots to NL400 with 8k in my br, one shoot was disaster ended for me loosing about 2k in one session, than I went to lifetime tilt and tilted my br away, stoped playing poker, get stacked and now I am struggling with 1k on NL20 taking shoots to NL50 and I am definitelly not recovered from this yet (yes, I still tilt like stupid monkey sometimes ...

Travis is the best example for why the opinion that u beat a limit isnt worth shit without save BR management.
+ its also the best example that tilting away money can negativly affect your future in a much harder way than u expected it.

In Late 2005 he was a 5/10 and 10/20 reg ( Nl and Omaha1000 and NL / omaha 2000 ) making thousands a day eaz ife.
+ he played in the Highstakes Limit tables ...

PokerStars Game #3306714227: Hold'em Limit ($100/$200) - 2005/12/11 - 18:07:18 (ET)
Table 'Thuban' Seat #9 is the button
Seat 1: monte111 ($6386.50 in chips)
Seat 3: piejay ($2658 in chips)
Seat 4: asdf2000 ($19214 in chips)
Seat 9: SH1P 1T ($10094 in chips)
monte111: posts small blind $50
piejay: posts big blind $100

Then he had a mosnter tilt week and lost his BR .....

after that he redeposited since he beats the limits and can rebuild eaz !
-> bad run -> broke

Well just unlucky he can rebuild since beats the limits normaly -> lend money
-> donwsing continues ->

broke , debts -> gg poker career for the next years
( He never fully recovered)

So being a winner in some limits means shit if u dont follow strict BR management and avoid tilt

Just mentioning that all cause your blog entries sound pretty alarming !
