since my bankroll was up to 3k i decided to take a shot at 100 nl and 3/6 limit

my 100nl shot went really well coz i game selected really good looking for huge fish and when they busted i just left the table. i was playing 6 tables of 3/6 and 1 100nl table for fun. which turned out to be really profitable!

well i got crushed in 3/6 limit, made a grand total of negative $29 over 10khands sigh. was messing around too much with the regulars and some of them are terrible but some of them are really good i learnt alot. must have been funny for them to see this guy come out of nowhere making all sorts of crazy plays. apparently they were having none of it and snapped called my bs up lol.

anyway apparently in limit alot of players have 0bb at the lower stakes and 1bb is considered good, as rakeback is around 3bb. so im technically at 3bb now. for alot of players, the money they make comes from rakeback, which i will get soon when i reach 100kfpp points. anyway, i gained 60k fpp points this week so just 30k more points rofl. i have been mass playing and i should really stop playing poker for the moment.

heres one hand for all u miniraisers out there

i don't know anything about limit but intuitively it seems like a mother fucker to be playing for rakeback only - although i sometimes wonder if that's what i'm doing myself in NLHE =[

how are you getting rakeback on stars? or are you playing limit on another site and NLHE on stars?

FPP = rakeback. It just takes a tiny bit of extra effort on your part to turn it into cash.

yea u can trade 100,000 fpp for a 1.5k bonus which is effectively 30% rakeback

You were about 11:1 to hit. You would need to make 121 each time you make this play for it to be profitable. There are about 50 dollars in the pot and he has 73.80 behind him. This makes about 124. Minus the 3 dollars in rake and you'll have 121.

This is a breakeven play if and only if he always goes all in and always loses if you hit your queen on the turn. Otherwise its a big loser.

In short: call was very bad.

Now I really am a busto. Thanks FTP.

well you have to add in the value of information as i had no history and wanted to see what he would do on next and i was folding to any aggression on the turn.

with that being said, i like your mathemathical breakdown, thanks maynard.

i agree wholeheartedly it was a horrible call and i normally woudlnt call a mini raise on that board
